A UNIVERSAL SEED DRILL FOR VARIABLE CROP ESTABLISHMENT

The OMEGA OO_FL universal seed drill has two hoppers divided in the ratio of 60:40, or 50:50. The double-chamber hopper design enables seeding crop together with supplementary fertilisation, or seeding several crops at the same time, such as the main and intermediate crop, all in one pass. The OMEGA OO_FL seed drill has an outstanding light design, a disc working section, and a wide range of optional equipment, including two inter-row spacing options of 12.5 or 16.7 cm.

The double-chamber pressurised hopper enables seeding the crop together with inter-row fertiliser application in one pass, or mixing seeds with fertiliser in the dispensing piping. The fertiliser dosing and the selected seeding amount are completely independent of one another.

The OMEGA OO_FL universal seed drill can also be used for establishing several types of crop. One chamber can be filled with the main crop seeds, the other chamber with the intermediate crop seeds. The structural design makes it possible to seed the main crop together with the intermediate crop, bringing new agronomic opportunities in response to the current farming requirements. The seeding amount of the individual crops as well as their placement in soil can be set individually.

To use the performance potential of the machine, both chambers can be used for one type of seeds. It will reduce the time needed for refilling the hopper and increase the efficiency of the OMEGA OO_FL seed drill.

ALFA DRILL SEEDING UNIT

The OMEGA OO_FL seed drill can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeding unit while in production, for even higher machine utilization variability and crop establishment options. The seeding unit can be used for seeding a third type of seeds or applying micro-granulate when both hopper chambers are used for seeds. The seeding unit has a capacity of 400 litres.

SEEDING AT VARIOUS DEPTH LEVELS, OR IN EVERY OTHER ROW

Place the seeds deeper, or plant them in every other row.

The specially designed distribution head also allows seeding the crop in every other row, for example, for inter-row spacing of 25 or 33 centimetres. This solution is suitable for establishing oilseed rape crop. When using the OMEGA OO_FL seed drill for planting two crops in every other row, you can place each crop at a different depth level. The drill coulter support wheel can be set at various holes with a spacing of 20 mm. Adjusting every other support wheel sets a different seeding depth in the even coulters than in the odd coulters

Front leveller + pneumatic packer
A unique coulter section

No other seed drill on the market offers the option to combine the front leveller with the pneumatic packer. Perfect soil levelling before the drill coulters is an important part of seeding. The leveller breaks the rough furrow and levels off any unevenness, the pneumatic packer evenly compacts soil along the entire width of the machine, and contributes to maintaining its stability at high working speed.

The working section behind the disc section is definitely what makes BEDNAR machines distinct. It can be equipped with the popular PROFI coulters for better soil cultivation, or TURBO coulters for creating a groove for drill coulters in the case of direct seeding.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

Perfectly precise seed drill guidance in the right track.

The OMEGA OO_FL universal seed drills have disc sections arranged in the shape of X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the machine to the side. That allows the machine to precisely trace the tractor track.

OFFSET ARRANGEMENT OF PACKER WHEELS

High clearance even wet conditions and low resistance.

The large and wide wheels mounted in an offset system under the hopper perfectly compact and level soil. The offset arrangement of the packer wheels increases soil and crop residue throughput, which reduces rolling resistance and thus the towing power demand. The wheels can be easily replaced in the case of a puncture! The wheels are mounted independently and the seed drill turns at headland using the packer, except for the two central wheels, which prevents the undesirable formation of tracks.

PARALLELOGRAM DRILL COULTER PLACEMENT

For even placement of seeds at a constant depth level.

The double-disc drill coulters are attached to the seeding bar frame with a parallelogram. That allows the individual drill coulters to perfectly trace terrain and place seeds evenly at a constant depth level along the entire working width.

TWO INTER-ROW SPACING OPTIONS

12.5 or 16.7 centimetres.

The OMEGA OO_FL variable seed drill can be equipped, in production, with drill coulters with an inter-row spacing of 12.5 cm suitable for most stubble breaking operations with a higher ratio of cereals in the seeding procedure, according to the customer’s requirements. The inter-row spacing of 16.7 cm is suitable for conditions with higher precipitation or with larger quantities of crop residue on the surface.

DEACTIVATING A HALF OF THE WORKING WIDTH

Save up to 6% of the cost of seeds.

The OMEGA OO_FL seed drill with supplementary fertilisation is equipped with two distribution heads, which makes it possible to deactivate a half of the working width of the machine – mechanically, or electronically from the comfort of the tractor cabin. It prevents undesirable excessive seeding.

FLOW SENSORS

Keep track of the throughput of each drill coulter.

The seed drill can be equipped with flow sensors on request. The device ensures that if a drill coulter gets clogged, the information is displayed on the screen. That guarantees maximum seeding precision.

EXCELLENT SEED PLACEMENT

Precisely designed drill coulter.

The double-disc seed drill with an offset disc cuts crop residue and creates a clean and prepared groove for even seed placement. There is either a standard, or carbide scraper between two discs. The seeds are then covered with fine soil and pressed down into the soil by the depth wheel. The depth wheel is available in two sizes: 330×50 mm and 330×65 mm.

SAFE ACCESS TO HOPPERS

For comfortable filling.

The fast and comfortable filling of the OMEGA seed drill hopper is ensured by an easily accessible platform and steps. To fill the hopper, the steel lid swings by 90°. The hopper filling level is indicated by two sensors. One is installed higher and its angle is adjustable, the other one is installed in the lower third of the hopper.

EASY CALIBRATION

Comfortable and safe calibration at the rear of the machine.

We have developed the OMEGA seed drill also with an easy and comfortable operation in mind. The seed calibration at the rear of the machine is also easy – a calibration bag is simply placed below the pipe. You do not need to climb the disc section and perform complicated calibration under the hopper. The outlet also makes it easy to empty the hopper contents.

INTUITIVE AND WELL-ARRANGED CONTROL

A seed drill fully compatible with ISOBUS.

Emphasis was placed on easy control when developing the OMEGA seed drill. The seed drill can be connected to the tractor via the ISOBUS technology, or it can be controlled using a BEDNAR ISOBUS display. A series of control displays with basic or advanced control functions are available.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

PRESSURISED HOPPER MODEL

OMEGA OO_FL is equipped with pressurised hoppers for seeding precision and crop establishment, even with higher seeding amounts. The pressurised hoppers for OMEGA OO_FL seed drills are available with a capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 litres.

DRILL COULTER PSP SYSTEM

The double-disc drill coulters are attached to the seeding bar frame with a parallelogram. The design provides perfect terrain tracing and even seed placement at the same depth along the entire width of the machine.

DOUBLE EDGE DRILL COULTERS

The machine moves away from the ideal line and wobbles when seeding. That creates increased gaps, or so-called “eyes” between the individual rides in the field (with standard arrangement of the drill coulters). All those deficiencies are eliminated with our innovative design – the double edge drill coulters. When there is a deviation from the ideal line, the growth is only thinned locally without any significant gaps, or eyes“.

HYDRAULIC DRAWBAR

The hydraulic piston-rod of the drawbar provides excellent terrain tracing. It removes tension affecting the machine drawbar and absorbs shocks, even at high working speed

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One tine for two discs provides a high material throughput. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain maize). Most disc cultivators only have one tine per disc. Such design restricts the flow of material namely in wet conditions, or when there are large quantities of crop residue.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

The unique technical design ensures precise machine guidance in the track. Thanks to that, the entire width of the disc cultivator is used because there is no drifting of the machine.

FERTI coulters

FERTI coulters are used for applying fertiliser in the inter-rows. The FERTI coulter creates a groove where the application end piece applies the fertiliser.

Crushbar leveller

The hydraulically controlled leveller is suitable for levelling unevenness and surface after the disc section.

TURBO coulters

TURBO coulters are discs with a sharp cutting edge. The coulters work in the same line as the rear drill coulters. They cut the plant mulch and soil, where the drill coulter places the seeds.

PROFI coulters

The specially shaped PROFI coulters offer an excellent crumbling effect and finalize the work of the disc section. Especially suitable for heavy soils.

Front equipment

Crushbar Leveller + Rubber-tyred Frontpack

An efficient combination of two devices on one machine. The leveller is used for levelling coarse unevenness. The rubber-tyred packer creates a perfectly levelled surface and stabilizes the machine at work.

Rubber-tyred Frontpack

Frontpack, a rubber-tyred front packer, perfectly levels soil, including the rough furrow. Moreover, it keeps the machine on a level. Frontpack consists of tyres with a diameter of 710 mm.

Crushbar leveller

The hydraulically controlled Crushbar leveller is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and for breaking the rough furrow before the disc section. The individual leveller strips are reinforced. It is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.

Serrated discs

OMEGA OO_FL universal seed drills are usually equipped with discs with a diameter of 460 x 5 mm.

Aggressive discs

The specially shaped discs offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive disc discs have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows mixing residue with soil better. Available with a diameter of 460 × 5 mm.

Drill coulters

Drill coulters with an inter-row distance of 16.7 cm

The inter-row distance of 16.7 cm provides better material throughput. It is suitable for technologies with larger quantities of crop residue on the surface.

Drill coulters with an inter-row distance of 12.5 cm

The inter-row distance of 12.5 cm offers plants better competitiveness against weeds and improves the engagement of the crop.

ALFA DRILL seeding unit

The ALFA DRILL seeding unit allows seeding a third type of seeds or applying fertiliser when both hopper chambers are used for seeds. It is also possible to apply micro-granulate for precise nutrient application directly with the seeds when being planted. Its use increases the certainty of crop emergence.

AGRONOMICAL GUIDE

MAIN AND INTERMEDIATE CROP ESTABLISHMENT
The main reasons for using intermediate crop in the seeding methods in the past few years lie in the legislation and ecology. The pressure on implementing better principles to limit soil and air erosion is increasing, as well as on improving the balance of organic matter, increasing water infiltration in soil, and reducing the application of chemicals. In the long term, intermediate crop can improve the condition of soil environment, increase the share of organic matter and thus work better with the limiting factors of yield, such as moisture and nutrition of the main crop.
