The BEDNAR brand is represented on the UK and ROI markets through the strong CASE IH dealer network
BEDNAR has a long-term cooperation with hundreds of farmers from different parts of the world. Each country has its own specifics, different climatic and soil conditions. The same is true in England and Ireland. BEDNAR machines are developed together with farmers, so everyone can choose the right technology from the extensive portfolio of machines.

Stubble cultivator SWIFTERDISC XO_F are suitable for fast cultivation of post-harvest residues
„Soil types vary massively in the UK. We have everything possible; from very heavy clay, something so heavy and strong, that we make house bricks from it! We then have soils which are so sandy, they cannot retain moisture, but are ideal from growing root crops, which of course, would then need to be irrigated. Along with these extremes, we also have very stony land with a varied stone size content, from small pebbles of maybe only 5mm through to large rocks of 300mm or more!“ said Warren Rivers-Scott, Managing Director for Bednar in the UK.
Since 2019, when the BEDNAR brand began to gain a foothold in the British Smarket, over 80 BEDNAR machines have been delivered.. One of the most popular machines produced by BEDNAR is the SWIFTERDISC short disc stubble cultivator, as described by Warren Rivers-Scott: „So far, the most popular machine has to be the Swifterdisc. It is already recognised as a key part of our portfolio with a huge success with retail sales already. Due to the strong construction, aggressive discs and total stability at speed“.
We chose the BEDNAR SWIFTERDISC XO 6000 F because it can cover a large number of hectares in a day with a minimal horsepower requirement for its width, it’s “A / Aggressive” serrated discs allow it to work at high speeds, quite shallow but still produce an effective seedbed. I couldn’t find a disc cultivater like it that had that amount of variability and adaptability.

We rated the BEDNAR over other brands as we felt it was the best all round machine. It is very well made and put together, easy to operate and very little daily greasing with sealed bearings fitted on all the packers which improves daily output massively.

In which machine from the BEDNAR portfolio see Warren Rivers-Scott growing popularity from the UK and the ROI market customers? „I see the Omega as having one of the biggest impacts on the UK market. The arable farmer has a lot of choice when it comes to seed drills in the UK, but the Bednar machine stands out the most, with its X disc configuration, pressurised hoppers, rear calibration etc, it makes it more user firendly than the rest“.
OMEGA OO_L seed drills are available in a working width from three to six meters
