The OMEGA OO_L pneumatic seed drill is a universal machine suitable for crop establishment in both conventional and minimization technologies, but it can also be useful in direct seeding into mulch, or grass over-seeding. The OMEGA OO_L universal seed drill can be also used for direct seeding into a ploughed field without any prior soil cultivation. The effective combination of the front leveller, the pneumatic packer and the PROFI coulter section creates and even seedbed. Quality surface levelling, perfect clod crumbling, precise seed placement and reverse compaction in one pass!

OMEGA OO_L is a suitable seed drill for establishing crop in zero-tillage cultivation systems. The disc section equipped with specially shaped aggressive discs provides a perfect cutting and mixing effect; the specially shaped disc also improves soil penetration. The OMEGA OO_L seed drill can be thus easily used for establishing catch crop in a stubble field after the early crop, or seeding winter crops without any prior soil cultivation.

New agronomic trends demand new crop establishment methods. The OMEGA OO_L seed drill can be used for crop establishment, such as winter crops, in the catch crop stands. The front pneumatic packer rolls over the catch crop, the disc and coulter section cuts it, and the seeds are placed at the required depth thanks to the high down pressure on the drill coulters.

The high versatility of the OMEGA OO_L seed drill makes it possible to use the machine for grass over-seeding during the year. We recommend performing this operation without using the front disc section, but using the TURBO coulters behind the disc working section that creates a groove in the line of the disc drill coulter and facilitates its penetration into soil. The grass vegetation remains undisturbed.

Front leveller + pneumatic packer
A unique coulter section

No other seed drill on the market offers the option to combine the front leveller with the pneumatic packer. Perfect soil levelling before the drill coulters is an important part of seeding. The leveller breaks the rough furrow and levels off any unevenness, the pneumatic packer evenly compacts soil along the entire width of the machine, and contributes to maintaining its stability at high working speed.

The working section behind the disc section is definitely what makes BEDNAR machines distinct. It can be equipped with the popular PROFI coulters for better soil cultivation, or TURBO coulters for creating a groove for drill coulters in the case of direct seeding.

It is possible to install the Crushbar leveller in front of the disc section, or to combine the Crushbar leveller with the rubber-tyred Frontpack. The working angle of the leveller is controlled hydraulically from the tractor cabin.

There are two ways to set the working depth of the disc section. It can be set hydraulically from the tractor cabin, or mechanically.

The seed drill can be equipped with a whole range of optional equipment after the disc section. The section is set hydraulically from the comfort of the tractor cabin.

The drill coulter pressure can be set at up to 287 lb according to the conditions. The pressure is set hydraulically or mechanically.

The double-disc drill coulter can place seeds or fertiliser at a depth of up to 3.1 inches. The working depth can be regulated hydraulically or mechanically.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

Perfectly precise seed drill guidance in the right track.

The OMEGA OO_L universal seed drills have disc sections arranged in the shape of X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the machine to the side. That allows the machine to precisely trace the tractor track.

OFFSET ARRANGEMENT OF PACKER WHEELS

High clearance even wet conditions and low resistance.

The large and wide wheels mounted in an offset system under the hopper perfectly compact and level soil. The offset arrangement of the packer wheels increases soil and crop residue throughput, which reduces rolling resistance and thus the towing power demand. The wheels can be easily replaced in the case of a puncture! The wheels are mounted independently and the seed drill turns at headland using the packer, except for the two central wheels, which prevents the undesirable formation of tracks.

PARALLELOGRAM DRILL COULTER PLACEMENT

For even placement of seeds at a constant depth level.

The double-disc drill coulters are attached to the seeding bar frame with a parallelogram. That allows the individual drill coulters to perfectly trace terrain and place seeds evenly at a constant depth level along the entire working width, resulting in an even stand.

TWO INTER-ROW SPACING OPTIONS

4,9 or 6,6 inches.

The OMEGA OO_L universal seed drill can be equipped, in production, with drill coulters with an inter-row spacing of 4.9 inches suitable for most stubble breaking operations with a higher ratio of cereals in the seeding procedure, according to the customer’s requirements. The inter-row spacing of 6.6 inches is suitable for conditions with higher precipitation or with larger quantities of crop residue on the surface.

EXCELLENT SEED PLACEMENT

Precisely designed drill coulter.

The double-disc seed drill with an offset disc cuts crop residue and creates a clean and prepared groove for even seed placement. There is either a standard, or carbide scraper between two discs. The seeds are then covered with fine soil and pressed down into the soil by the depth wheel. The depth wheel is available in two sizes: 13×2 inches and 13×2.6 inches.

DEACTIVATING A HALF OF THE WORKING WIDTH

Save up to 6% of the cost of seeds.

The OMEGA OO_L seed drill is equipped with two distribution heads, which makes it possible to deactivate a half of the working width of the machine – mechanically, or electronically from the comfort of the tractor cabin. It prevents undesirable excessive seeding.

FLOW SENSORS

Keep track of the throughput of each drill coulter.

The seed drill can be equipped with flow sensors on request. The device ensures that if a drill coulter gets clogged, the information is displayed on the screen. That guarantees maximum seeding precision.

EFFICIENT AND PRECISE

Dispensing mechanism of the OMEGA seed drill.

The dispensing mechanism is made of stainless steel and driven by an electric motor. It is equipped with a radar system and connected to the ISOBUS communication channel. The dispensing system is capable of batching the seeds precisely within the range from 0.6 to 350 kg/ha.

SAFE ACCESS TO HOPPERS

For comfortable filling.

The fast and comfortable filling of the OMEGA seed drill hopper is ensured by an easily accessible platform and steps. To fill the hopper, the steel lid swings by 90°. The hopper filling level is indicated by two sensors. One is installed higher and its angle is adjustable, the other one is installed in the lower third of the hopper.

EASY CALIBRATION

Comfortable and safe calibration at the rear of the machine.

We have developed the OMEGA seed drill also with an easy and comfortable operation in mind. The seed calibration at the rear of the machine is also easy – a calibration bag is simply placed below the pipe. You do not need to climb the disc section and perform complicated calibration under the hopper. The outlet also makes it easy to empty the hopper contents.

INTUITIVE AND WELL-ARRANGED CONTROL

Emphasis was placed on easy control when developing the OMEGA seed drill. The seed drill can be connected to the tractor via the ISOBUS technology, or it can be controlled using a BEDNAR ISOBUS display. A series of control displays with basic or advanced control functions are available.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

HYDRAULIC DRAWBAR

The hydraulic piston-rod of the drawbar provides excellent terrain tracing. It removes tension affecting the machine drawbar and absorbs shocks, even at high working speed.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One tine for two discs provides a high material throughput, even in difficult conditions. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain maize, organic matter, such as catch crop).

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

The unique technical design ensures precise machine guidance in the track. Thanks to that, the entire width of the disc cultivator is used because there is no drifting of the machine.

DRILL COULTER PSP SYSTEM

The double-disc drill coulters are attached to the seeding bar frame with a parallelogram. The design provides perfect terrain tracing and even seed placement at the same depth along the entire width of the machine.

PRESSURISED HOPPER MODEL

OMEGA OO_L disc seed drills are equipped with pressurised hoppers for seeding precision and crop establishment with higher seeding amounts. The pressurised hoppers for OMEGA OO_L seed drills are available with a capacity of 79 – 114 bu.

DOUBLE EDGE DRILL COULTERS

The machine moves away from the ideal line and wobbles when seeding. That creates increased gaps, or so-called “eyes” between the individual rides in the field (with standard arrangement of the drill coulters). All those deficiencies are eliminated with our innovative design – the double edge drill coulters. When there is a deviation from the ideal line, the growth is only thinned locally without any significant gaps, or eyes“.

Crushbar levelling bar

The hydraulically controlled levelling bar is suitable for levelling unevenness and surface after the disc section.

TURBO coulters

TURBO coulters are discs with a sharp cutting edge. The coulters work in the same line as the rear drill coulters. They cut the plant mulch and soil, where the drill coulter places the seeds.

PROFI coulters

The specially shaped PROFI coulters offer an excellent crumbling effect and finalise the work of the disc section. Especially suitable for heavy soils.

Front equipment

Crushbar Leveller + Rubber-tyred Frontpack

An efficient combination of two devices on one machine. The leveller is used for levelling coarse unevenness. The rubber-tyred packer creates a perfectly levelled surface and stabilizes the machine at work.

Rubber-tyred Frontpack

Frontpack, a rubber-tyred front packer, perfectly levels soil, including the rough furrow. Moreover, it keeps the machine on a level. Frontpack consists of tyres with a diameter of 28 inches.

Crushbar leveler

The hydraulically operated Crushbar leveler is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and to break plow furrow before the disc section. The individual leveler tines are reinforced. The Crushbar leveler is easily controlled by a hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the operator’s seat.

Disc section

Aggressive discs

The specially shaped discs offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive disc discs have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows mixing residue with soil better. Available with a diameter of 18.1 × 0.2 inches.

OMEGA OO_L universal seed drills are usually equipped with discs with a diameter of 18.1 x 0.2 inches.

Other

ALFA DRILL seeding unit

The ALFA DRILL seeding unit allows seeding a third type of seeds or applying fertiliser when both hopper chambers are used for seeds. It is also possible to apply micro-granulate for precise nutrient application directly with the seeds when being planted. Its use increases the certainty of crop emergence.
