SWIFTERDISC XO_F is a line of versatile high-speed disc harrows of a compact design available in 13- through 25-foot working widths. Our disc was the first on the market to feature the integrated transport axle placed in front of the rear roller. This design provides even weight distribution for high machine stability and related high working speed essential for the proper performance of a high-speed disc.

Seedbed preparation

Stubble management is one of the most important farming procedures. According to the proper agricultural practices it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation the SWIFTERDISC XO_F can be equipped with notched or aggressive disc blades with 20.5- or 22-inch diameter providing excellent penetration, cutting, mixing of soil and incorporation of crop residue. Rear rollers reconsolidate the tilled soil profile to ensure even emergence and germination of weeds and volunteer grains.

The optimal diameter in combination with the high working speed provide a high circumferential velocity of the blades that guarantees an excellent crumbling and mixing effect of the disc section. For broader versatility, frequent secondary tillage and seedbed preparation, we suggest equipping your SWIFTERDISC XO_F with the front Crushbar leveler to break the plow furrow and level uneven field surface.

INTEGRATED AXLE AND TWO-ROW PACKER LAYOUT

Excellent stability even at high working speeds

Rollers laid out in two rows provide better stability at high working speeds compared to one-row design and eliminate the gap known from disc harrows with two rollers in a single row. The integrated transport axle ensures even distribution of the machine weight and eliminates heave. It also ensures safer transportation and reduces the turning radius of the tractor with the attached implement on the headland.

EASY WORKING DEPTH CONTROL

Mechanical or convenient hydraulic setting

The working depth of the disc is easily set from the rear rollers. If the machine is equipped with front gauge wheels, they are set automatically via mechanical connecting rods.

TRASH CUTTER

Cutting roller for tough crop residue

SWIFTERDISC XO_F can be equipped with the Trash Cutter roller in the front, an ideal choice for sizing crop residue and hard stalks. Such cut residue breaks down faster and makes the subsequent tillage easier by preventing machine clogging.

CRUSHBAR LEVELER

Great for secondary tillage as well

To utilize the machine all year round, the SWIFTERDISC XO_F comes with an optional hydraulically controlled Crushbar leveler in front. This combination provides a perfect soil profile levelling, clod crumbling and soil preparation.

ALFA DRILL SEEDING UNIT

Cover crop establishment in one pass

The SWIFTERDISC XO_F disc harrow can be equipped with the ALFA DRILL air seeder unit straight from the factory for seeding of cover crops and small grains in a single pass with considerable time and fuel saving benefits. The seeding unit hopper has a capacity of 11.3 bushels.

HYDRAULIC TONGUE

Perfect terrain contouring – always and everywhere

The SWIFTERDISC XO_F disc harrow is equipped with a hydraulic tongue. We use this design as it makes for easier connection to the tractor and most importantly improves the job quality since the machine perfectly contours the terrain.

SAFE TRANSPORT

Excellent stability and high travelling speeds

The integrated transport axle placed closer to the tractor provides excellent driving characteristics. The working sections fold upward and the frames are conveniently secured by hydraulic locks. Smooth and safe travel at high speeds with a transport width under 10 feet.

Perfectly levels any minor field surface unevenness and evenly spreads lumps across the entire machine width.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

HYDRAULIC TONGUE

The hydraulic cylinder of the tongue enables excellent terrain contouring. It eliminates tension affecting the tongue and absorbs shocks, even at high working speeds.

TWO-ROW REAR PACKER LAYOUT

Rear rollers laid out in two rows provide better stability at high working speeds compared to one-row design and eliminate the gap known from disc harrows with two rollers in a single row. The machine has to work in a stable and steady manner in order to achieve a level field surface without washboard.

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

Our oblique contact ball bearings are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs and run in a solid metal body. The hubs are attached to the blade with six bolts. They are oversized to ensure a trouble-free operation.

RUBBER TORSION PROTECTION

Two-disc-blades-per-arm design provides twice the space for rubber torsion protection. The rubber segments absorb shocks coming from the blades working the ground. The disc harrow works fast and without maintenance even in the most difficult conditions. The segments are made from high quality rubber with a long service life.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One arm for two blades provides excellent trash flow. Crop residue such as huge amounts of straw or cornstalks can easily pass through the machine. Most high-speed discs have only one disc blade on each arm. Such design restricts the flow of the material namely in wet conditions or in heavy residue.

Front equipment

Single front gauge wheels

Maintain the set working depth across the entire machine width, help with terrain contouring and prevent the machine from bouncing.

Crushbar leveler

The hydraulically operated Crushbar leveler is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and to break plow furrow before the disc section. The individual leveler tines are reinforced. The Crushbar leveler is easily controlled by a hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the operator’s seat.

Trash Cutter front roller

Cutter roller with helically arranged blades. The small diameter enables achieving a high circumferential speed. The roller provides excellent cutting of cornstalks, canola and sunflower stems or cover crops. As a result, the crop residue is incorporated better and the improved soil contact stimulates its breakdown. The roller downpressure is controlled hydraulically from the cab.

Disc section

Aggressive discs

The optional specifically shaped blades deliver a higher cutting and mixing effect together with better penetration in dry conditions. The aggressive discs have many sharp cutting edges along the circumference for efficient sizing and easy incorporation of large amounts of crop residue. Available in both 20.5- or 22-inch diameter with 0.2-inch thickness.

Notched discs

The disc section comes with 20.5- or 22-inch notched blades with 0.2-inch thickness as standard equipment.

Other

ALFA-DRILL seeding unit

Used for seeding of cover crops and grasses or fertilizer broadcasting. You can do two operations in one pass and reduce your operating costs.

Rollers and packers

SEGMENTED Packer with Scrapers

A heavy packer made of massive steel segments for perfect reconsolidation suitable for all soil types. Individual segments provide excellent clod crumbling. Diameter 21 inches, weight 136 lb/ft incl. scrapers.

CUTPACK Packer with Scrapers

A heavy steel packer with high cutting capability and excellent reconsolidation effect. Suitable for heavy soils and for use with Zero-mix tines. Diameter 24.8 inches, weight 148 lb/ft incl. scrapers.

DOUBLE-ROLLER

A double rolling basket consisting of a tube and bar roller of different diameters. The roller is suitable for cultivation of medium and light soils in drier conditions. Diameter 18.5 and 14.6 inches, weight 89 lb/ft.

V-RING Packer with Scrapers

A heavy steel packer for intense crumbling and soil profile reconsolidation suitable for all types of soil. Diameter 24.8 inches, weight 114 lb/ft incl. scrapers.

Double V-RING Packer

A packer made of individual V-shaped rings with low adhesion, outstanding trash flow and resistance to plugging in wet conditions. The offset layout provides an excellent self-cleaning effect and improves the machine stability at work. Diameter 24.8 inches, weight 110 lb/ft.

Double U-RING Packer (23.6-inch)

A two-row steel packer consisting of individual U-shaped rings. The offset layout provides an exceptional self-cleaning effect and improves the machine stability at work. The packer excels in crumbling and its resistance to plugging makes it well suitable for work in wet conditions. Diameter 23.6 inches, weight 155 lb/ft.

TUBE Roller

The rolling basket is made of massive steel tubes and provides a good crumbling effect, particularly at higher speeds. Most suitable for lighter soils. Diameter 21 inches, weight 81 lb/ft.

STUBBLE CULTIVATION
Fast and quality stubble cultivation is one of the most important tillage procedures. According to good agrotechnological practices it should be carried out as soon as possible after harvest. This will ensure the proper soil moisture management, a rapid emergence of weeds and so prevent a later weed infestation.
