“We grow standard market crops such as wheat, barley, rye, rapeseed, corn and potatoes. We also have an extensive animal production, about 2,000 pigs for slaughter, 840 Holstein Friesians dairy cows and beef cattle. In 2011, we launched our own biogas station with an output of 834 kW,” Ing. Luděk Bechyně, the chief machine serviceman, introduces the company.
Kosova Hora uses disc cultivators by various manufacturers. “We were planning to renew our fleet and so we gradually tested the disc cultivators before buying a new machine. There were various machines, among others and also the SWIFTERDISC XO_F disc cultivator by BEDNAR. In the end, we decided to buy a SWIFTERDISC XO_F with a span of 6 metres. And why this machine? We liked the versatility of the machine and its possible use not only for stubble breaking, but also for seedbed cultivation. That’s also why we requested the Crushbar, a hydraulically adjustable front leveller,” Mr. Bechyně explains.
