The FENIX FO_PROFI field cultivator is a new generation of cultivators for intense shallow tillage after harvest, as well as deep tillage of up to 14″ prior to crop establishment. The FENIX FO_PROFI trailed cultivator has shanks arranged into four ranks in the shape of an arrow. The well-thought-out design reduces traction resistance and tractor output demands.

The models of the FENIX FO_PROFI versatile cultivator have shanks arranged in four ranks. The individual shanks are sufficiently spaced, both inside the rank and between the individual ranks. Therefore, The FENIX FO_PROFI offers high throughput even when working in fields with large quantities of crop residue, organic matter (manure, slurry) or when incorporating cover crop.

SHANKS V-LAYOUT

Lower traction resistance and fuel consumption.

The FENIX FO_PROFI field cultivator excels in the low power demands thanks to the convenient layout of the individual shanks against the soil that reduces traction resistance. The arrow layout of the shanks provides gradual penetration of the individual shanks into the soil and excellent processing along the entire implement width.

ROBUST CAST IRON SHANK BRACKETS

Mounted to the implement main frame.

Each shank is bolted (not welded) to the main frame of the FENIX FO_PROFI by means of a solid bracket. The advantage of this solution lies in the high durability of the brackets and the supporting frame. In case of its damage, each bracket can be easily replaced. Each shank firmly preserves its geometry and works within precisely defined limits without oscillations and lift.

NEW TYPES OF PROTECTION

Maximum adjustment of the implement to the soil conditions.

The FENIX FO_PROFI cultivator now offers several types of protection: shear bolt protection, double-spring reset shank protection (release force of 1102 lbs) or comfortable hydraulic reset shank protection (release force of 1455 lbs).

INTEGRATED AXLE

Work without the rear packers even when it is wet.

The integrated axle mounted between the working shanks enables the implement to work without the rear packer (more shanks work behind the transport wheels). When it is muddy, the packers can easily be deactivated, and soil is cultivated without consolidation. This advantage can also be used when preparing soil for winter, when it is usually not required or recommended to consolidate the soil.

PERFECT SOIL LEVELLING

Choose the best levelling section.

FENIX FO_PROFI can be equipped with a whole range of working parts in relation to the soil character or customer’s requirements. The four ranks of shanks are followed with a levelling section that can be equipped with the levelling springs or levelling discs, controlled mechanically or hydraulically conveniently from the tractor cabin. For perfect soil levelling, the FENIX FO cultivator can also be equipped with the Crushbar levelling bar behind the rear packers.

The FENIX FO_PROFI versatile cultivator always offers something extra compared to competing products. In addition to the standard levelling section, the FENIX FO_PROFI can also be fitted with a Crushbar levelling board in front of the rear packers. The Crushbar levelling board in front of the rear packers is used to level out any unevenness after the shank gang. The packers then only consolidate the soil without levelling it. The levelling board is controlled by means of a crank mechanism.

FOUR TYPES OF POINTS

Allow adjusting the implement to deep tillage or shallow tilage.

The FENIX FO_PROFI cultivator can be equipped with four types of points, which let you adjust the implement for deep tillage or shallow tillage after harvest. A properly selected working point type is also important in terms of the character of the soil to be processed, or the season. There are points with a width of 3.2″ and 2.4″, or LONG-LIFE points at 1.6″ and 3.2″, fitted with carbide tips for higher durability.

GAUGE WHEELS

Ensure perfect terrain contouring.

The FENIX FO_PROFI cultivator can be equipped with gauge wheels for perfect terrain contouring. They ensure that the field is evenly cultivated at the set working depth along the entire width of the implement.

REAR PACKERS WITH PARALLEL LINKAGE

A continuous contact with soil under any conditions.

The rear packers of the versatile FENIX FO_PROFI field cultivator are equipped with a parallel link that provides perfect terrain contouring and maintains the set working depth. The rear packers are not a part of the support frame as in other competitive implements.

Dual gauge wheels

They provide terrain contouring and maintain the set working depth along the entire width of the implement.

Shank gang

Ensures excellent undercutting and mixing of crop residue with soil. There are four types of points available to accommodate to the conditions.

Integrated axle

Distributes weight evenly and contributes to a higher implement stability.

Hydraulic reset shanks

Each shank is protected against overload by hydraulic cylinder with a maximum breaking force of 1455 lbs. A shear bolt protection is also available.

Levelling section behind the shank gang

The levelling section can be fitted with levelling discs or springs. This section helps to level the soil surface and crumble large clods before the final surface consolidation.

Crushbar levelling board in front of rear packers

The Crushbar levelling board levels the surface before the rear packers. The levelling board is controlled mechanically by means of a crank mechanism.

Rear packers

Create an ideal fine soil structure and close the soil surface to prevent evaporation.

HYDRAULIC DRAWBAR

The hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar allows excellent terrain contouring. It eliminates tension affecting the drawbar and absorbs shocks, even at high working speeds.

POSSIBLE ADJUSTMENT OF WORKING WIDTH

The FENIX FO_PROFI versatile cultivators allow the adjustment of the implement working width depending on the work operation or the current conditions. The working width is adjusted by mounting or dismounting the side frames of the shank section, levelling section, levelling board and rear packers.

WHAT DO THE FARMERS HAVE TO SAY?

“We have been using BEDNAR machines in our company since 2016. One of the first was the FENIX FO 4000 cultivator, which has worked several thousand hectares on our farm. Recently, due to the increase in hectarage, we were looking for a machine that would allow us to increase our daily output. The choice fell again to BEDNAR, and this time we opted for a new machine, the FENIX FO 8004 PROFI cultivator. The acquisition of this machine has enabled us to increase our daily output from 54.36 acres to 148.26 acres. This machine’s versatility is enhanced by the ability to adjust the working width as needed. For deep soil tillage, we can remove the additional side sections and reduce the machine width from 25’11” to 22’0″.

V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil compaction. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 25″. Weight: 1222 lb/ft (including scrapers).

Double V-RING Packer

V-RING is a packer with individual rings shaped in a V. The packer has an outstandingly low stickiness, which prevents the packer from clogging when wet. The ranks are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 25″. Weight: 1172 lb/ft.

Double U-RING Packer (23.5")

The U-RING packer is a dual rank steel packer. The ranks are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer is great for crumbling, and the U-shape rings and the low risk of clogging make it suitable for work in muddy conditions. The dual packer increases implement stability at work. Packer diameter 23.5″. Weight: 1664 lb/ft.

AGRONOMICAL GUIDE

DEEP TILLAGE
FENIX field cultivators are suitable tools for deep tillage up to 14″. The optimally designed layout of the individual shanks provides excellent soil profile undercutting and mixing of crop residue with soil. Deep loosening provides soil with the proper structure, with the properties of a fungus that is able to absorb precipitation and provide water to roots in the dry season.
