In July 2023, the SWIFTERDISC XE 18400 MEGA (60′ 4”) speed disc cultivated incredible 1901 acres during a continuous, 24-hour operation. The “24 HOURS RECORD” event took place in Romania.

Tillage is one of the most important field operations. According to the proper agricultural procedures, it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation, the SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA can be equipped with notched or aggressive blades with a diameter of 20″×0.2″ / 22″×0.2″, providing excellent cutting, mixing with soil and incorporation of trash. The rear packers consolidate soil and close the cultivated soil profile to ensure even emergence of weeds and unwanted cereal seeds.

The large SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA models also have blade gangs arranged in the pattern of an X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the speed disc to the side. This allows the speed disc to precisely follow the tractor track. The central disc reduces the risk of ridge formation.

EVEN WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Always the same down pressure on both frames of the blade gang.

Maintaining the set working depth for even soil profile processing is the foundation of quality tillage. SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA high speed disc provide the same pressure on discs along the entire tool width thanks to the dual axle having been moved forward and the concept of two undivided folding side frames. The structural design of the implement reduces the number of hydraulic cylinders where side frame pressure could be lost. This design also reduces the number of points of lubrication, the overall wear of the machine, and it simplifies manipulation with the implement, both in the field and on the road.

COMFORTABLE TURNING AT HEADLAND

Lifting up the blade working gang is all you need to do.

The SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA large speed disc is easily manoeuvred despite its maximum working width of 60′ 4′, even at headlands. The machine turns using the rear rollers, the caster gauge wheels, and the transport axle. This design eliminates the negative load on the hitch and takes the load off the tractor when the tool is in the headlands position.

PREPARED FOR CTF SYSTEM THANKS TO THE WORKING WIDTH OF 47' 3' - 60' 4'

Reduced numbers of passes and soil compaction.

The CTF (controlled traffic farming) system eliminates soil compaction and optimises the passes of the individual sets. When working, the individual sets travel across the field in the given grid of the working width (20′, 40′, 60′, 80′ etc.), which prevents the formation of uneven compaction in the field as well as in the tracks that can be easily tilled.

Forward folding of side frames.

Even with the largest working width of 60′ 4” on the market, the SWIFTERDISC XE_MEGA large high speed disc is very compact in transportation, because it does not exceed the transport width of 9′ 10″ and the height of the machine is just below 13′ 1″, even when equipped with double V-RING or U-RING rollers. Such parameters are achieved mainly thanks to the forward side frame folding, towards the drawbar. The dual transport axle with flotation tires ensures a smooth ride.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

Our oblique contact ball bearings are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs and run in a solid metal body. The hubs are attached to the blade with six bolts. They are oversized to ensure a trouble-free operation.

RUBBER TORSION PROTECTION

Two disc blades per arm design provides twice the space for rubber torsion protection. The rubber elements absorb shocks coming from the blades working the ground. The speed disc works fast and without maintenance even in the most difficult conditions. The elements are made from high quality rubber with a long service life.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One arm for two blades allows for excellent trash flow. Crop residue such as huge amounts of straw or cornstalks can easily pass through the implement. Most high-speed discs have only one disc blade on each arm. Such design restricts the flow of the material namely in wet conditions or in heavy residue.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC GANG

The unique design ensures precise implement trailing behind the tractor. As a result, the entire working width is being used since there is no side drifting of the implement.

The specially shaped disc blades offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive blades have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows bringing out more soil. Available with a diameter of 20″ × 0.2″ and 22″ × 0.2″.

V-RING is a packer with individual rings shaped in a V. The packer has an outstandingly low stickiness, which prevents the packer from clogging when wet. Double U-RING Packer (23.5")

The U-RING packer is a dual rank steel packer. The ranks are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer is great for crumbling, and the U-shape rings and the low risk of clogging make it suitable for work in muddy conditions. The dual packer increases implement stability at work.
