The BEDNAR brand is relatively new to the British and Irish markets compared to similar competing brands. Nevertheless, the number of yellow BEDNAR machines in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland, is gradually growing and the brand is beginning to reach the forefront of customers minds. This is also due to the strong partnership with the CASE IH brand and its dealer network, which officially began on August 1, 2020.

„Soil types vary massively in the UK. We have everything possible; from very heavy clay, something so heavy and strong, that we make house bricks from it! We then have soils which are so sandy, they cannot retain moisture, but are ideal from growing root crops, which of course, would then need to be irrigated. One of the most popular machines produced by BEDNAR is the SWIFTERDISC short disc stubble cultivator, as described by Warren Rivers-Scott: „So far, the most popular machine has to be the Swifterdisc. It is already recognised as a key part of our portfolio with a huge success with retail sales already. Due to the strong construction, aggressive discs and total stability at speed“.

We chose the BEDNAR SWIFTERDISC XO 6000 F because it can cover a large number of hectares in a day with a minimal horsepower requirement for its width, it’s “A / Aggressive” serrated discs allow it to work at high speeds, quite shallow but still produce an effective seedbed. I couldn’t find a disc cultivater like it that had that amount of variability and adaptability.

We rated the BEDNAR over other brands as we felt it was the best all round machine. It is very well made and put together, easy to operate and very little daily greasing with sealed bearings fitted on all the packers which improves daily output massively.
