SWIFTER SO_PROFI is a modern seedbed cultivator that is able to prepare the field in one pass, thanks to the combination of up to eight operations in one pass. The innovative design of side frame spring-loading lets you work with the cultivator at higher speed, achieving a better crumbling and levelling effect. SWIFTER SO_PROFI is a cultivator that can be used in any season because it is easily adjusted to the conditions thanks to the exchangeable working tools.

SWIFTER SO_PROFI is the top implement in trailed seedbed cultivators available on the market. We have developed some interesting devices for the SWIFTER cultivator over the course of time. For example, there is the spring-loading of the side frames with a coil spring, the option of using a third crosskill roller after the rear rollers, or the front slatted roller with a replaceable pin.

UP TO 8 OPERATIONS IN ONE PASS

Creating a seedbed for proper and even crop emergence.

Combining several operations into one means fewer passes over the field and lower costs of tillage. The front levelling bar or leveller perfectly levels off any unevenness. The front crumbling roller crumbles the clods. The main working section undercuts, aerates and warms up the soil layer. The implement can be equipped with a third crosskill roller with a large specific weight installed after the double crosskill rollers to achieve the maximum crumbling effect and fine structure of the cultivated field.

SPRING-LOADING OF THE SIDE FRAMES

Enables the cultivator to work at a speed of up to 9 mph (15 km/h).

The SWIFTER SO_PROFI cultivator has both side frames spring-loaded with a coil spring. This interesting design contributes to even weight distribution and above all absorbs shocks that are not transferred to the central supporting frame. The spring-loading of the side frames thus contributes to achieving higher working speed and implement durability, together with maintaining a constant working depth. Moreover, the spring-loading of the frames does not require any adjustments – it is a user-friendly and a trouble-free design.

A sweep working section (summer and fall seedbed preparation – winter cereals, canola)

This working section can be used for summer and fall preparation when soil needs to be loosened, undercut and mixed after the previous harvest. The 10.5″ sweeps in two overlapping rows undercut the soil profile along the entire implement width, creating a firm bottom. At the same time, soil is aggressively processed thanks to the working angle of the sweeps, creating a loosening top layer. Each sweep is mounted on a flexible shank that provides a 3D effect (horizontal and vertical movement) which protects the sweep from damage.

The section is especially suitable for spring seedbed preparation before seeding sugar beet where it is required to adequately manage spring moisture, but still prepare a precise seedbed. The sweep angle does not mix soil vertically, but the soil is still undercut over the whole area thanks to the overlapping sweeps that are 6.7″ wide. Another benefit is the reduced demand on the towing vehicle power.

Gamma-point working section (spring seedbed preparation – spring cereals, corn)

This section is suitable for early spring operations, such as required before seeding barley. The four ranks of gamma points at a negative angle aerate and warm up soil without bringing wet particles to the surface, which preserves winter moisture. It is important for a fast start of growth of spring crop. The spring-loading of each tine enables working at high speed. The gamma points for this section are also available in the LONG LIFE version.

THIRD CROSSKILL ROLLER

For the perfect final soil structure.

When compared with competitive implements, SWIFTER SO_PROFI offers the widest range of rear equipment, including the levelling bar, harrow, finish roller or the third crosskill roller. The last crosskill roller has a diameter of 14″ and creates the perfect soil structure, namely in difficult conditions.

Even weight distribution brings higher durability.

The side frames with individual working sections are suspended on a robust spacious frame. The supporting frame has a higher durability because the weight of the side frame is evenly distributed. The placement of the transport axle also contributes to that as it has a low centre of gravity, unlike competitive implements.

Drawbar

A hydraulically adjustable drawbar contributes to perfect terrain tracing and levelling any unevenness.

The hydraulically controlled Crushbar is used for levelling unevenness and breaking the rough furrow.

Front crumbling roller

Provides initial crumbling of larger soil particles and clods.

Working section

A selection of three different versions (2 ranks of sweeps/ 4 ranks of gamma points / 2 ranks of SB sweeps) as needed for seedbed preparation for the crop.

Rear rollers

The two ranks of crosskill rollers contribute to perfect crumbling of clods created by the sweep or gamma-point section.

Rear equipment

The third finish roller creates the final fine soil structure and completes the entire operation with compaction.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

COMPRESSING SPRING

Most seedbed cultivators equipped with crosskill rollers incur slackness between the individual crosskill rings after working for some number of acres. We use a compressing spring in SWIFTER cultivators, mounted on the shaft where the crosskill rollers are as well. The spring continuously presses on the crosskill rings and eliminates slackness between the individual rings.

COIL SPRING FRAME SUSPENSION

The side frames of the implement are spring-loaded with coil springs. All the shocks directed at the main frame of the machine, or the tractor, are absorbed by the springs.

CRUSHBAR LEVELLER

The front hydraulic Crushbar leveller allows the operator to ideally adjust the working angle of the leveller according to the field conditions in the comfort of the cabin. When compared with a mechanically controlled leveller, it is possible to achieve savings of up to 0,11 gallons of diesel per acre.

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

Roller bearings are adjusted to the high circumferential speed and are maintenance-free. The operator thus does not have to regularly lubricate each bearing, which there are many on a seedbed cultivator. Multiple gaskets prevent contamination of the bearing and the reinforced gasket design reduces its damage.

WHAT DO THE FARMERS HAVE TO SAY?

“We stopped using the original cultivator a long time ago because it created a lot of clods, and we started using a SWIFTER. Moreover, when we had a SWIFTER here for testing, nothing else worked for the clods because it was extremely dry. The soil here is rocky and it is far from light in many places. A great advantage is that I do not have to level the field twice in these extreme conditions. The implement perfectly levels the field at a speed of 8 mph (12 km/h), and there is no need to do another pass. I can do almost 110 acres per day.”

An ideal design for all types of soil with rocks. The large spacing between rows prevents rocks from getting stuck and blocking the rollers. The universal frame enables increasing the spacing between the rows of rollers – a smaller distance provides a self-cleaning effect even in wet conditions, a larger distance provides a sufficient space in rocky soils.

SEEDBED PREPARATION
Seedbed preparation is an important operation for the formation of a uniform and balanced seedbed prior to crop establishment. Each crop and field requires different seedbed preparation based on the climate, or the chosen date of tillage. The aim of the seedbed preparation is to create an ideal soil structure in the field, with a harder bottom and loose top soil layer, to level the field after previous operations, and to open, warm up and aerate the soil profile for even crop emergence.
