ROW-MASTER RN

A cultivator for inter-row cultivation of wide-row crops

AN INTER-ROW CULTIVATOR WITH A HIGH VERSATILITY OF APPLICATION

The ROW-MASTER RN cultivator has a robust frame with excellent versatility in weeding inter-rows, removing soil crust, and eliminating weeds in wide-row crops. The adjustable inter-row spacing from 15.7 to 31.5 inches makes it possible to use ROW-MASTER in the crop of corn, sunflower or sugar beet. To reduce the risk of damaging plants and to achieve a high output, the cultivator can be equipped with the self-guiding CultiCam system.

Key properties

A cultivator that eliminates the occurrence of weeds in wide-row crops with an adjustable inter-row spacing of 15.7-31.5 inches.

UNIVERSAL ROW-MASTER RN

With high frame clearance.

The machine has a frame with high clearance of 31.5 inches that provides excellent throughput even in tall stands, designed for weeding wide-row crops, namely corn and sunflower. The inter-row spacing can be easily adjusted by moving the working unit along the frame.

ONE FRAME, MANY EQUIPMENT OPTIONS

Modify your machine according to your conditions.

The different types of working sections make it possible to adjust the cultivator to the current growth stage of the crop so that loosening is performed as best as possible and without the risk of crop damage. Plant protection is ensured by the protective discs or protective screens.

THREE TYPES OF WORKING SECTIONS

To adjust to the growth stage and crop.

The section with five arrow sweeps is usually used for early spring loosening of young crop with 100% overlapping of the inter-row space. This operation removes the soil crust and weeds in rows.

For the second weeding, the cultivator should be equipped with a working section with three 5.9 inches sweeps and two chisels with a width of 1.5 inches. The chisels do not damage the plant air roots and moreover, they create a groove in the soil profile that improves access of roots to water and air.

The final loosening should be done using the 2.4 inhces backfilling chisel with a mouldboard. The large chisel loosens soil and removes soil crust, even very hard.

WORKING SECTIONS MOUNTED ON A PARALLELOGRAM

Precise guidance in any conditions.

The individual working units are mounted to the frame using a clamp. The parallelogram traces the terrain and maintains the set working depth of the cultivation units in a precise way. The parallelogram completely eliminates movements caused by unevenness.

SILENT-BLOCK MOUNTING OF WORKING UNITS

A unique way of increasing down pressure.

Each working unit is mounted on a parallelogram, placed on silent-blocks. The down pressure of the working units is provided by the unique method of mounting in two pairs of silent-blocks. The down pressure of up to 176 lb per unit ensures that the set depth is maintained even in extremely hard and difficult conditions.

LED WORK LIGHTING

Changes night into day.

The inter-row cultivator can be equipped with a set of LED work lighting that ensures trouble-free visibility around the machine during long work shifts, to guarantee maximum daily output, even when working at night.

EASY SETTING

Of inter-row spacing and working depth.

The spacing between the individual working units can be easily changed by loosening the bolts that connect the main machine frame with the working units. The working depth of each unit is set easily using a manual screw mechanism (a crank). The working depth can be set from 0.8 to 4.7 inches.

STABILIZING AND SUPPORT WHEELS

For guidance and maintaining the set working depth.

The ROW-MASTER RN cultivator is equipped with stabilizing steel wheels of the side frames that keep the cultivator within the rows. Each working unit has its own support wheel that helps maintain the set working depth and trace the terrain.

CULTICAM - AUTOMATED GUIDANCE SYSTEM

Minimization of the risk of plant damage, higher output and precise loosening, even at the early growth stage.

CultiCam, a guiding camera, reads the row lines, transfers the information to the system that sends data to the control unit, which transmits signals to the electric valves that move the frames to the left, or right. The camera can guide working units from the very early stage of crop emergence and it considerably increases productivity and comfort of work.

MINERAL FERTILISER APPLICATION

FERTI-BOX FB_F

The FERTI-BOX FB_F front mounted hopper is designed for supplementary fertilisation in the soil profile and has a capacity of 54 – 62 bu. Fertiliser is pneumatically distributed from the front hopper to the distribution head mounted on the inter-row cultivator.

Three-point hitch

Easy connection to the three-point hitch of the tractor. Category II/III hitch.

Support wheels

Maintain the set working depth and perfectly trace the terrain.

Stabilizing wheels

Help guide the cultivator in the crop.

Hydraulic control

The system automatically moves the cultivator to the side based on data received from the CultiCam guidance system.

Frame

An extremely robust frame with clearance of 31,5 inches for weeding corn or sunflower crops.

Silent-block mounting of working units

The innovative design increases down pressure and enables easy penetration of the working unit in the soil.

Parallelogram mounting of working units

The individual working units are mounted on a parallelogram. The system provides perfect terrain tracing and maintains the set working depth.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

CULTICAM - AUTOMATED GUIDANCE

The system automatically guides the inter-row cultivator by reading the rows. The system then communicates with the hydraulic control (movement) that guides the cultivator working units in the inter-rows.

PARALLELOGRAM MOUNTING OF WORKING UNITS

The individual working units are mounted to the frame of the inter-row cultivator using a clamp. The design provides excellent terrain tracing and maintains the set working depth of the cultivation units.

WHAT DO THE FARMERS HAVE TO SAY?

“We bought the ROW-MASTER RN 6400 cultivator by BEDNAR based on a selective procedure where the requirements for the machines equipment also included a system of automatic cultivator guidance. We implement inter-row cultivation year by year as needed and according to the current conditions. Also, loosening provides for easy access of sugar beet roots to air.”

Accessories

We know that everyone has different requirements for the optional machine equipment and its expected use. Therefore, you can specify your own ROW-MASTER RN universal cultivator to precisely match your needs.

Optional equipment for plant protection

Protective discs

The specially shaped protective discs of the working units define the cultivation width – they protect leaves and roots. The discs also prevent covering crop rows with soil and weed seeds.

Protective shields

The shields define the cultivation width and protect leaves and roots. They prevent covering crop rows with soil and weed seeds.

Other

Automated guidance

CultiCam reads two or three rows (according to the crop) and assesses the vegetation, then transmits the information to the electronic system, which communicates with the hydraulic control of the cultivator. The control guides the cultivator so that the working units work in the inter-rows, right next to the plants.

AGRONOMICAL GUIDE

INTER-ROW CULTIVATION
Weeding improves the physical properties of soil nutrient intake by plants, and the condition of vegetation. Inter-row cultivation has a weeding effect, which reduces the consumption of herbicides. Inter-row cultivation also has a soil-protecting effect. The loosened soil layer in the inter-row prevents fast drainage of surface water, and reduces the risk of water and air erosion. Liquid or solid fertilisers can be applied whilst weeding, thus improving the overall condition of the crop.
