ATLAS AE_L

A high speed disc with large blade diameter of 24″ × 0.24″

HIGH SPEED DISC WITH LARGE BLADE DIAMETER AND PROVEN TWIN-DISC SYSTEM

The ATLAS AE_L high speed is designed for processing large quantities of crop residue, especially after harvesting grain corn, sunflower or canola. The ATLAS AE_L has 24″ × 0.24″ diameter blade with mounting on the arm in pairs (TWIN-DISC system). The blade gang is arranged in the shape of X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the implement to the side.

Key properties

The ATLAS AE_L high speed disc with a large blade diameter of 24″ and blade gangs arranged in the shape of X (X-PRECISE system)

PROVEN DESIGN

Proven TWIN-DISC design for maximum throughput.

The ATLAS AE_L offers a unique combination of a speed disc with a large disc diameter of 24″ and rubber torsion protection. The blade work in pairs on a single arm (TWIN-DISC system). Thanks to this design, the distance between each arm is greater (19.7″). This means more space for the material to pass through. Quality work without the risk of tool clogging even when processing large quantities of trash.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM

Precise high speed disc guidance in the right track.

The ATLAS AE_L high speed disc has blade gangs arranged in the shape of the letter “X”. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the speed disc to the side, so-called drifting, especially when working on slopes. That allows the high speed disc to precisely follow the tractor track. The central double disc prevents the risk of ridge formation. A professional solution for working with maximum precision.

HYDRAULIC SETTING

Easy and fast high speed disc working depth setting.

The working depth of the ATLAS AE_L high speed disc is set using tipping spacers on the hydraulic cylinders of the rear packer, transport axle and front dual gauge wheels.

NEW CONSTRUCTION DESIGN

To eliminate the formation of ridges in the central section of the high speed disc.

The ATLAS AE_L has an asymmetrical rear packer that eliminates the risk of creating a centre ridge and adequately flattens the surface in the centre of the implement. Upon request, the high speed disc can be fitted with Crushbar (levellers) in the central part of the implement. A perfect solution for quality work.

LARGE SPACING BETWEEN GANGS

For processing large quantities of residues without the risk of clogging.

The ATLAS AE_L is designed to process large quantities of crop residues. This line offers a sufficient distance between the individual disc gangs to ensure trouble-free operation and to eliminate the risk of tool clogging, even in muddy conditions. The distance between the front and rear rank of the blade gang is 47″. The underframe clearance is about 25.5″ and it provides trouble-free throughput.

AXLE SHIFTED FORWARD

Contributes to ideal weight distribution.

The ATLAS AE_L high speed disc have the transport axle shifted forward, in front of the first blade gang. This design contributes to ideal weight distribution and allows it to achieve higher working speeds. The telescopic connecting rods help stabilise frames where the disc gangs are mounted.

TWO FOLDING SIDE FRAMES

The proven BEDNAR concept since 2005.

The structural design of the implement reduces the number of hydraulic cylinders where side frame pressure could be lost. This design also reduces the number of points of lubrication, the overall wear of the implement, and it simplifies manipulation with the tool, both in the field and on the road. The high speed disc does not exceed the transport width of 9′ 10″ and height of 13′ 1″.

Hydraulic parking jack

Ensures easy and safe high speed disc parking.

Drawbar

Provides safe turning at headland and enables the forward side frame folding.

Axle shifted forward

It allows ideal weight distribution of the implement and contributes to the precise adherence to the set working depth thanks to the even down pressure on the side frames. Transport tire size: 600/50–22.5.

Dual gauge wheels

Provide excellent terrain contouring and maintain the set working depth along the entire width of the implement. Dual gauge wheels size: 400/50–15.

Blade gang

Blade gang with notched or aggressive discs, with a diameter of 24″×0.24″and high throughput thanks to the TWIN-DISC system (two discs on one arm).

Levellers

The central part of the tool in front of the rear packer can be fitted with Crushbar levellers to level the soil surface in the centre of the implement.

Rear packer

The rear packers close the surface. The asymmetrical rear packer creates a perfectly flat surface in the centre of the implement and prevents the formation of a central ridge.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

Our oblique contact ball bearings are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs and run in a solid metal body. The hubs are attached to the blade with six bolts. They are oversized to ensure a trouble-free operation.

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

RUBBER TORSION PROTECTION

Two disc blades per arm design provides twice the space for rubber torsion protection. The rubber elements absorb shocks coming from the blades working the ground. The speed disc works fast and without maintenance even in the most difficult conditions. The elements are made from high quality rubber with a long service life.

RUBBER SEGMENT DISC PROTECTION

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One arm for two blades allows for excellent trash flow. Crop residue such as huge amounts of straw or cornstalks can easily pass through the implement. Most high-speed discs have only one disc blade on each arm. Such design restricts the flow of the material namely in wet conditions or in heavy residue.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC GANG

The unique design ensures precise implement trailing behind the tractor. As a result, the entire working width is being used since there is no side drifting of the implement.

Accessories

We know that everyone has different requirements for implement’s equipment and the work it is expected to perform. That’s why we allow you to specify your ATLAS AE_L high speed disc exactly as you require.

Rollers and packers

RUBBER FURROW PACKER + scrapers

The Rubber furrow packer is a solid packer made of hard natural rubber, suitable for any conditions. The levelling effect is excellent thanks to the packer weight. Soil adhesion to the packer is almost none thanks to the rubber and scrapers. Packer diameter 23″. Weight: 1570 lb/ft (including scrapers).

V-RING Packer + scrapers

V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil compaction. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 25″. Weight: 1222 lb/ft (including scrapers).

Other

Levellers

The Crushbar levellers in the central part of the speed disc in front of the rear packers levels the soil surface and eliminates the risk of creating a centre ridge.

Front equipment

Dual gauge wheels

They are used to set the implement working depth. They guarantee excellent performance in the contouring of the terrain and maintaining the set working depth of the tool across its entire working width. Gauge wheels size: 400/50-15.

<![CDATA[Double front support wheels]]><![CDATA[Double front support wheels]]>

Single Gauge wheels

They are used to set the implement working depth. They guarantee excellent performance in the contouring of the terrain and maintaining the set working depth of the tool across its entire working width. Gauge wheels size: 400/50-15.

Disc gang

Aggressive blades

The specially shaped disc blades offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive blades have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of trash. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows bringing out more soil. Available with a diameter of 24″ × 0.24″.

AGRONOMIC ADVISOR

Cultivation Good and fast cultivation is one of the most important operations in soil tillage. According to good agrotechnical practices, it should be carried out as soon as possible after harvesting the crop stand. The cultivation ensures proper soil moisture management and rapid weed emergence, thus preventing later weed growth.
