On 16 October, BEDNAR, the manufacturer of agricultural machinery, presented its new products and innovations in cooperation with Rostěnicea.s., an important agricultural company.This presentation took place about a month before the international Agritechnica fair of agricultural technology. BEDNAR also invited selected partners from various parts of the world to a preview of the latest seed drill with a working width of 12 metres. This modern machine will be officially presented at TECHAGRO, BEDNAR’s domestic fair, in spring 2020.

Locality Selection for Presenting Novelties and Innovations

The presentation of the new products was organised in Rostěnicea.s.This company was not selected at random. BEDNAR has cooperated with the company from its very beginning. Moreover, the company owns a lot of BEDNAR machines. They also test the manufacturer’s novelties and together we have organised several successful technology presentations.

Introduction of the Company

In the afternoon, the main operations of the farm were presented to the participants from twelve different countries. During a three-hour tour, they saw the modern GSI post-harvest line, biogas station with an output of 2,189 kW, integrated BEDNAR soil cultivation technology, and received some other information about Rostěnicea.s. The company manages a total area of 10,000 hectares in South Moravia and it has been one of the leading companies in Central Europe for many years.

Evening Introduction of BEDNAR Novelties

In the evening, a total of 23 BEDNAR machines from the entire company’s portfolio were introduced, starting with disc cultivators headed by the new SWIFTERDISC XE 12 400 PROFI, followed by the universal storage hopper for fertiliser and seeds – COMBO SYSTEM CS 5000 aggregated with a CORSA CN 9000 seeding bar. This storage hopper can also be aggregated with other BEDNAR machines, such as TERRASTRIP ZN, TERRALAND TN, FENIX FN, etc., thanks to the fourth generation The currently tested prototype of the universal VERSATILL VO 12400 PROFI share cultivator with a working width of 12.4 metres was presented in the following block, together with a novelty among versatile share cultivators, FENIX FO 5003.

The introduced machines also included the concepts of liquid fertilisation or strip sprinkler irrigation of wide-row cultures. The liquid-fertiliser storage hopper,The FERTI-TANK FT 4000, was presented in aggregation with a ROW-MASTER RN 6400 cultivator. This set is designed for weeding together with liquid fertilisation applied to the root system of vegetative crop. The last machines that BEDNAR presented were seed drills, together with the agronomic trials proving their universal application and large variable seeding options. Apart from the well-established OMEGA OO_L and OMEGA OO_FL seed drills, the visitors were offered a preview of the wide EFFECTA CE 12000 seed drill. This seed drill with a working width of 12 metres is designed to respond to the farmers’ demands for high seeding capacity and unprecedented quality of crop establishment

EFFECTA CE is a seed drill equipped with a divided pressurized hopper with a 3800:2200 ratio and a total capacity of 6,000 l, track cultivators, a coulter section for soil cultivation, four seed dispensers and distribution heads and drill coulters mounted on a parallelogram (PSP system), with an inter-row spacing of 12.5 cm.The machine is fully compatible with ISOBUS, which significantly increases the machine operating comfort.

In Conclusion

The event was attended by expert journalists and selected farmers from all parts of the world. The invited farmers manage an area of about 3,000,000 hectares in total and they had lively discussions with the manufacturer’s representatives about the presented machines and their technological advantages during the working and social part. The weather was great and the participants learned a lot about BEDNAR, especially about the machine novelties and concepts. At the same time, they had the opportunity to look behind the curtain of a very modern agricultural operation.
