Mrs Vraná a private farmer first started working with The MULCHER MZ 4500 rotary cutter last year when she bought the machine based on good references from her friends on neighbouring businesses.
Mrs. Vraná uses the new MULCHER MZ 4500 rotary cutter for mulching unwanted tree seedlings, grasses, and for treating pastures
The rotary cutter includes a central walking axle, side frame covers to prevent impurity sediments, armouring, or spreading deflectors
“I started farming privately in 1993 following in the footsteps of my father in agriculture. I currently manage 380 hectares out of which 30 hectares are arable land, the rest includes grassland and pastures. I breed beef cattle which I have about one hundred and horses,” Mrs. Vraná talks about the areas of her activity.
A New Rotary Cutter as a Replacement for a Hammer Machine
Managing such a large area of grassland, meadows and pastures requires regular maintenance, mulching of growing edges or ungrazed grass in the pasture. Prior to purchasing the BEDNAR rotary cutter they used an older hammer machine. “The machine had a small width and lacked the required performance, it could not process blackthorn very well and so we decided to replace it with a MULCHER MZ 4500 with a working width of 4.5 metres. Talking to the neighbouring farmers who use the machine led us to purchase the BEDNAR rotary cutter,” Mrs. Vraná describes the selection of the new machine.
Mr. Růžička praises the robustness of the machine, perfect tracing, and high working speed during operation
Two side frames and the rear walking axle contribute to excellent tracing of terrain unevenness
Robustness and High Working Speed
During the visit, we saw the rotary cutter working in a hilly terrain in aggregation with a ZETOR tractor, with a horsepower of 115. “I like the robustness. The hammer machine does not compare with the quality of work or the working speed. We purchased a professional machine. Armouring is important because you never know when you may hit a hidden rock in the grass. It also has spreading deflectors, front counter blades, and a central walking axle. The rotary cutter perfectly traces the terrain unevenness,” says Richard Růžička, the Machine Operator. In the future, Mrs. Vraná’s farm is planning to purchase the TRASH-FAN equipment for continuous machine cleaning, to make the subsequent maintenance easier for the operator.
