SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI, a wide disc cultivator, provides maximum daily output, has a short frame and easy intuitive control. Stubble cultivation after harvest
Seedbed preparation

Stubble cultivation is one of the most important field operations. According to the proper agricultural procedures, it should be done as soon after harvest as possible. For this operation, SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI can be equipped with notched or aggressive discs with a diameter of 520 × 5/ 560 × 5 mm, providing excellent cutting, mixing with soil and incorporation of crop residue. The rear packers consolidate soil and close the cultivated soil profile to ensure even emergence of weeds and unwanted cereal seeds.

The optimal diameter in combination with the high working speed provide a high circumferential speed of the discs, which leads to excellent crumbling and mixing effect of the disc section. The levelling bar in front of the rear packers helps with the final surface levelling, together with the excellent crumbling effect of the rear packers.

BEDNAR EASY CONTROL

Own software for the control of all functions.

SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI is a disc cultivator fully compatible with ISOBUS. Machine can be operated with any ISOBUS compatible terminal. The BEDNAR EASY CONTROL software provides fully automated folding and unfolding of the machine using a single button, and all working parameters are set by entering the values at the terminal. All the settings, including the working depth, can be comfortably adjusted also during work, which prevents undesirable downtime.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM

Precise disc cultivator guidance in the right track.

SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI models have disc sections arranged in the shape of X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the machine to the side. That allows the disc cultivator to precisely follow the tractor track. The central disc reduces the risk of ridge formation.

EVEN WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

Always the same down pressure on both frames of the disc section.

Maintaining the set working depth for even soil profile processing is the foundation of quality soil cultivation. SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI cultivators provide the same pressure on discs along the entire machine width thanks to the axle moved forward and the concept of two folding side frames. The structural design of the machine reduces the number of hydraulic cylinders where side frame pressure could be lost. This design also reduces the number of points of lubrication, the overall wear of the machine, and it simplifies manipulation with the machine, both in the field and on the road.

FORWARD MACHINE FOLDING

Provides compact dimensions and safe transport.

Even with the working width of up to 12.4 metres, the SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI cultivator is very compact in transportation, because it does not exceed the transport width of 3 metres and the height of the machine is just below 4 metres. Such parameters are achieved thanks to the forward side frame folding, towards the drawbar.

LARGE SPACING BETWEEN SECTIONS

Work fast and eliminate the risk of clogging.

Machines can frequently get clogged while stubble cultivating or incorporating larger quantities of crop residue due to low clearance, or when the working speed is restricted to avoid the formation of waves. In their disc cultivator category, SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI cultivators offer the largest distance between the front and rear row of the disc section, 100 centimetres, and the distance of discs to the rear packer axis is up to 120 cm. The frame clearance is about 60 centimetres and it makes it possible to also incorporate large quantities of organic matter or manure.

ALFA DRILL SEEDING UNIT

Simple and easy catch crop establishment using a disc cultivator with a seeding unit.

The SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI cultivator can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeding unit while in production, for seeding catch crop and small-seed plants during stubble cultivation, all in one pass. The time and fuel savings are considerable. The seeding unit has a capacity of 800 litres.

PREPARED FOR CTF SYSTEM THANKS TO THE WORKING WIDTH OF 12.4 METRES

Reduced numbers of passes and soil compaction.

The CTF (controlled traffic farming) system eliminates soil compaction and optimises the passes of the individual sets. When working, the individual sets travel across the field in the given grid of the working width (6, 12, 18, 24 m, etc.), which prevents the formation of uneven compaction in the field as well as in the tracks that can be easily tilled.

CONTINUOUS AND FAST TURNING AT HEADLAND

With the support wheels and rear packers.

The SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI wide disc cultivator is manoeuvrable very well at headland. The machine turns on the rear packers and front support swivel wheels at headland, only the disc section is lifted up, without the need to lift up the entire frame. This design eliminates the negative load on the hitch and unloads the tractor when the machine is in the headland position.

LOAD-SENSING SYSTEM

Only as much oil as actually needed.

The SWIFTERDISC XE_PROFI wide disc cultivator is connected to the tractor’s LOAD-SENSING hydraulic output using only three hoses. The adjustable pump then only delivers as much oil under pressure as needed by the specific task of the individual function; it is all completely automated. The system efficiently uses the pressure in the hydraulics and controls the individual functions that required high output.

Trash Cutter roller

Cuts crop residue, namely the stalks of sunflower, corn or oilseed rape, and facilitates their incorporation and mixing with soil. The optimal size of crop residue accelerates decomposition and reduces the need for nitrogen.

Axle shifted forward

Provides ideal distribution of the machine weight and contributes to precise adherence to the set working depth thanks to the identical pressure on the disc section.

Double front swivel support wheels

Provide excellent terrain contouring and maintain the set working depth along the entire width of the machine. The cultivator travels on the swivel wheels and the rear rollers when turning at headland.

Disc section

Disc section with notched or aggressive discs, with a diameter of 520 × 5/ 560 × 5 mm, and high throughput thanks to the Twin-Disc system.

Long drawbar

Provides safe turning at headland and enables the forward side frame folding.

Rear packers

The wide range of rear packers make it possible to adjust the machine to any conditions. The packers help close the surface and reduce evaporation of soil moisture.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

MAINTENANCE-FREE BEARINGS

The ball bearings with an oblique contact are closed by two static and one dynamic cassette seal with four sealing ribs, and they move in a solid metal body. The bearings are attached to the disc with six bolts. They are oversized, which ensures a trouble-free operation.

RUBBER SEGMENT DISC SECURING

The mounting of two discs on one arm provides twice the space for rubber segment securing. The rubber segments absorb shocks formed during soil cultivation. The cultivator works fast and without maintenance, even in very difficult conditions. The rubber is high quality, with a long service life.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One arm for two discs provides a high material throughput. Crop residue can easily flow through the machine (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain corn). Most disc cultivators only have one arm per disc. Such design restricts the flow of material namely in wet conditions, or when there are large quantities of crop residue.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC SECTION

The unique technical design ensures precise machine guidance in the track. Thanks to that, the entire width of the disc cultivator is used because there is no drifting of the machine.

Double front swivel support wheels

Help maintain the set working depth, contour the terrain, and turn the machine at headlands.

Crushbar levelling bar

The hydraulically controlled Crushbar levelling bar is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and for breaking the rough furrow before the disc section. The individual levelling paddles are reinforced. It is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.

Front cutting roller Trash Cutter

The front, screw-shaped Trash Cutter roller is equipped with sharp blades. The small roller diameter enables to achieve a high circumferential speed. The roller provides an excellent cutting effect in processing the stalks of oilseed rape, sunflower, or catch crop. Thanks to that, the crop residue is mixed with soil better, which accelerates its decomposition. The down pressure of the roller is controlled hydraulically from the tractor cabin.

Disc section

Aggressive discs

The specially shaped discs offer superior cutting and mixing, penetrating dry soil effectively. With aggressive edges along the circumference, they seamlessly incorporate a large quantity of crop residue. Sharp blades efficiently cut through residue, and the profiled shape ensures optimal soil residue mixing. Available in a diameter of 520 × 5 and 560 × 5 mm.

Notched discs

The disc section is usually equipped with notched discs with a diameter of 520 x 5 mm; the diameter of 560 x 5 mm is available on request.

Rollers and packers

CUTPACK Packer + scrapers

CUTPACK is a heavy steel packer with high cutting abilities and an excellent reverse consolidation effect. Suitable for heavy soils. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 222 kg/m (including scrapers). The packer is suitable for use with ZERO-MIX legs.

RUBBERPACKER + scrapers

The Rubberpacker is a solid packer made of hard natural rubber, suitable for any conditions. The levelling effect is excellent thanks to the packer weight. Soil adhesion to the packer is almost none thanks to the rubber and scrapers. Packer diameter 590 mm. Weight: 217 kg/m (including scrapers).

V-RING Packer + scrapers

V-RING is a heavy steel packer suitable for intense crumbling and reverse soil consolidation. The packer is suitable for all types of soil. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 169 kg/m (including scrapers).

Double V-RING Packer

V-RING is a packer with individual rings shaped in a V. The packer has an outstandingly low stickiness, which prevents the packer from clogging when wet. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 630 mm. Weight: 162 kg/m.

Double U-RING Packer (600 mm)

The U-RING packer is a double-row steel packer. The rows are offset, which provides an excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer is great for crumbling, and the U-shape rings and the low risk of clogging make it suitable for work in wet conditions. The double packer increases machine stability at work. Packer diameter 600 mm. Weight: 230 kg/m.

Crushbar levelling bar

The levelling bar, placed in front of the rear double packers is used for levelling off any unevenness after the previous section. The packers only consolidate soil, they do not level it. The outcome is a perfectly levelled field.
