A compact disc harrow is used for tillage, and its use immediately after harvesting is key to limiting soil moisture loss, rapid weed growth, and reducing the occurrence of diseases and pests. The sharp edges of the discs ensure high-quality coverage, effective incorporation and intensive mixing of crop residues or organic matter with the soil, creating an even layer suitable for subsequent processing.

In combination with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeder, compact disc harrows are an effective tool for fast and economical establishment of cover crops in a single pass. Depending on the specific model, compact disc harrows can also be equipped with a CRUSHBAR levelling board, which significantly expands their effectiveness in seedbed preparation.

Versatile compact disc harrows SWIFTERDISC

The SWIFTERDISC product range represents highly versatile compact disc harrows that are suitable for both high-quality and fast stubble cultivation as well as seedbed preparation. These machines enable intensive tillage to a depth of up to 14 centimetres, ensuring optimal mixing of crop residues with the soil.

Depending on the specific model, the front part of the machine can be equipped with a CRUSHBAR levelling board for levelling the surface or a TRASH CUTTER cutting roller, which ensures effective processing of large amounts of crop residues.

The disc section can be fitted with discs with a diameter of 520 or 560 mm. The discs are secured with rubber segments and mounted in the TWIN-DISC system (one tine for two discs), which increases the machine’s throughput during operation.

Compact disc harrows with large disc diameter ATLAS AE_L

The ATLAS AE_L product range includes compact disc harrows with large disc diameters, which are designed for intensive tillage even when working with large amounts of crop residues. Thanks to its 620 mm diameter discs and high frame, the ATLAS AE_L can reliably incorporate plant residues and organic matter to a depth of up to 16 centimetres.

The disc section is arranged in an X-PRECISE system, i.e. in the shape of the letter “X”, which eliminates side movement of the machine and ensures accurate guidance. The ATLAS AE_L is a highly effective solution for businesses looking for a powerful compact disc harrow with the option of deeper tillage.

ATLAS heavy compact disc harrows

The ATLAS product range includes disc harrows designed for processing large amounts of crop residues – for example, after grain maize and organic matter such as cover crops, manure or slurry. The high frame, combined with the large diameter of the discs, allows intensive tillage to a depth of up to 16 centimetres, even in difficult conditions.

The highly robust construction of the machine ensures reliable penetration and excellent work quality even in very dry soil. ATLAS is therefore the ideal solution for farms working on heavier soils or with increased volumes of post-harvest residues.
