In summer temperatures, 2 to 3mm of water evaporates from 1 square meter of stubble field in a day, i.e. 25mm of water evaporates on average in ten days, often without rain. Therefore, whether or not stubble cultivation is done can have a significant effect on the successful development and growth of the following crop, such as rapeseed. Stubble cultivation is done to the depth of 7 – 12cm and the SWIFTERDISC cultivator with a width from 3m to 14m is an ideal machine for stubble tillage. Swifterdisc is designed for high working speed, up to 15 km/h, thanks to which it provides a high daily output and perfectly levels fields. Swifterdisc is equipped with aggressive discs that has edges for perfect cutting of crop residue. It also provides a mixing effect and better incorporation of crop residue thanks to the profiling on the side of the disc. The disc sections throw more soil during rotation, which is heavier than crop residue and thus flies higher and subsequently covers crop residue. The field is thus browner after a machine equipped with aggressive discs than after a machine with regular discs.
