Strip-till with the STRIP-MASTER at Solmilk a.s.

“Our fields are sloping and sensitive to erosion, so there is no other option than growing maize in strips. Maize is essential for us, mainly due to livestock production,” says agronomist Martin Kreuz.

Solmilk a.s. uses the strip-till system together with the application of a hundred kilograms of urea into the cultivated strips. This method optimizes plant nutrition while minimizing erosion. “We used to rely on external services and applied digestate, but we wanted to have greater control over the entire process,” he adds.

The STRIP-MASTER row cultivator is set to work the soil at a depth of 15 cm, which is ideal for seedbed preparation. One of its advantages is its ability to handle large amounts of crop residues without clogging. “We operate on variable soils with a high occurrence of stones, but the STRIP-MASTER handles it perfectly. Additionally, it communicates seamlessly with the tractor, significantly easing the operator’s work.”

The special LONG-LIFE points last up to four times longer than standard versions, reducing operating costs. “The points last significantly longer, and their replacement is quick and easy, saving us both time and money.”
