The mounted SWIFTERDISC XN 3500 cultivator is a very popular model among Czech farmers
Perfectly done work in one pass. Mixing crop residue with soil and crumbling large clods
The SWIFTERDISC XN cultivator series could be described as compact cultivators for smaller plots and hilly terrain. Simply said, a short, handy, fast and good cultivator. Those words were also confirmed by Mr. Prachař during our visit; he invested in a cultivator by BEDNAR, a Czech manufacturer, three years ago.

“I got involved in farming thanks to my father, as is common in family-owned farms. He started farming right after the Revolution. I now manage my own 47 hectares, but my brother and I own a total of 70 hectares of arable soil. I grow three basic crops – oil rapeseed, wheat, and poppy, which is less common. My technology is quite unusual in terms of our area, but I have grown out of the times when I used old and unreliable machines,” Mr. Prachař, a private farmer, describes his farming.
Like many other customers, Mr. Prachař decided to purchase the disc cultivator after seeing it at work. “I tried the BEDNAR cultivator together with other German and Polish machines. I decided to go with BEDNAR because I liked how the machine worked and the price was also favourable. I use the machine to provide services, it cultivates about 350 hectares every year. I use it for both stubble breaking and seedbed preparation. What I like about the cultivator is the crumbling and mixing effect of the A-discs with a large diameter, 520x5, the maintenance-free disc bearings, and the good work of the rear segmented packer,” the owner summarizes his experience with a SWIFTERDISC XN.
The tractor with a horsepower of 135 is ideal for the width of the cultivator
The segmented packer helps crumble clods and consolidate soil surface
It was truly a joy to watch the combination of the BEDNAR cultivator with the tractor. The set was breaking the stubble in a field where poppy was harvested. In aggregation with a 135 HP tractor, the set worked at a speed of 12.5 km/h. The hourly output of the set was almost 3 hectares. The compact design enables you to achieve a high working speed, ensuring the best quality of work.
