NEW DISTRIBUTOR OF BEDNAR MACHINES FOR THE SOUTH ISLAND OF NEW ZEALAND

Cochranes is a family-owned company that is an authorised dealer of CASE IH and NEW HOLLAND machines in the South Island with over 70 years of history in the business.

The family-owned company was established in 1951 and provides sales and service support to customers through its seven locations (Amberley, Leeston, Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru, West Coast and Blenheim). A long history with a customer focus and the providing of a professional service is the basis of Cochranes success.

“The main reason we chose BEDNAR to expand our portfolio is that they offer a wide range of products for small and large farms. For each machine, it has a wide range of options and accessories that allow the machine to be adapted to different types of farming and customer requirements. A number of SWIFTERDISC, SWIFTER, TERRALAND, FENIX or OMEGA machines are already in operation in the South Island. We have high expectations with the DIRECTO NO no-till drill,” says James Cochrane, the company’s sales director.

The official start of the cooperation between BEDNAR and Cochranes is effective from 1 January 2025. Cochranes will present selected machines at the South Island Agricultural Field Days in Kirwee from 26 to 28 March 2025. The company will present the SWIFTERDISC XO_F disc cultivator, the FENIX FO_PROFI universal cultivator and the OMEGA OO_L seed drill.

“We will also have these machines available for DEMO purposes to show customers how these machines work in their conditions. Of course, new and existing customers can rely on a full after-sales service including spare parts, service and technical support,” adds James Cochrane.
