BEDNAR introduces the new seed drill from the DIRECTO model range – an advanced solution for farmers focusing on direct seeding. This large, trailed no-till seed drill is designed for crop establishment directly into stubble, cover crops, or untilled soil. With its robust construction, unique sowing coulters, and the possibility of simultaneous fertilisation, DIRECTO NE sets a new standard in modern no-till technology.

Double-chamber pressurised hopper for maximum accuracy

The DIRECTO NE is equipped with two pressurised hopper chambers with a total capacity of 6,000 litres. The pressurised system ensures better filling of the metering roller and precise dosing, even when handling large seed rates or lower-quality seed and fertiliser. This guarantees consistent distribution across the full working width, supporting reliable and uniform crop establishment.

Patented sowing coulters with adjustable pressure settings

At the heart of the DIRECTO NE are patented sowing coulters that operate with an adjustable pressure of up to 300 kg per coulter. With a row spacing of 25 cm, the coulters ensure optimal placement and germination, even in heavy soils or challenging no-till conditions. This system provides a consistent seed depth and uniform growth across the entire working width.

High-quality consolidation and row closure

The seed drill is fitted with a robust press wheel frame that maintains a straight line and ensures reliable row closure. The pressure of the press wheels can be adjusted, while the rear wheels can also be angled into several positions, improving adaptability in different field conditions.

Precise seed and fertiliser distribution

The DIRECTO NE features four metering units and four distribution heads, which guarantee an even and consistent distribution of seed and fertiliser across the full working width. When configured without fertiliser coulters, the machine can be equipped with Section Control (3 m sections), reducing overlaps and saving valuable seed costs.

Easy operation with BEDNAR EASY CONTROL

The machine is operated via BEDNAR EASY CONTROL software, developed in-house. The interface provides intuitive control, on-screen assistance, and compatibility with precision farming functions. With remote calibration through the FARM LINK system, settings can be adjusted remotely, reducing downtime and improving efficiency.

Compact transport dimensions and fast folding

The seed drill uses a proven design with two side frames that fold forward onto the drawbar for transport. The transport width does not exceed 3 m and the height is 4 m. Wide flotation tyres also increase stability during transport and reduce soil compaction.
