INTRODUCING THE SECTION

One of the modern ways to achieve a higher yield while keeping the soil-protective measures is strip-till. In this area, we offer two different designs of strip-till cultivators that cover the various requirements of growers. The TERRASTRIP ZN is designed for deep strip tillage, while the STRIP-MASTER EN is designed for shallow tillage.

What can you use a strip-till cultivator for

The strip-till cultivator is used for precise preparation of narrow strips of soil before seeding row crops such as sunflowers, corn, sugar beet or oilseed rape. This method of cultivation creates an optimal environment for establishing crops — with sufficiently loosened soil at the seeding site and minimal disturbance to the surrounding soil structure.

Strip-till offers a number of agronomic advantages. It helps improve soil structure, reduces the risk of water and wind erosion, promotes better organic matter management and reduces soil moisture loss due to less surface disturbance. At the same time, it contributes to increased activity of soil microorganisms, which has a positive effect on soil fertility and long-term health.

The positive effect of strip tillage can be further enhanced by the targeted application of mineral or liquid organic fertilisers directly into the soil profile during loosening. In this way, nutrients are placed precisely in the root zone, which promotes faster crop establishment, more uniform development and more efficient use of applied nutrients.

The TERRASTRIP ZN and STRIP-MASTER EN strip-till cultivators can be easily aggregated with FERTI-CART FC, COMBO SYSTEM CS trailed hoppers or FERTI-BOX FB_F / SEED BOX SB front hoppers. Alternatively, they can also be directly connected to slurry applicators. This variability allows you to flexibly choose the most suitable fertiliser placement method according to your farm’s technology and available equipment.

Versatile strip-till cultivator STRIP-MASTER EN

The versatile STRIP-MASTER EN is designed for strip tillage to a depth of 35 centimetres. The row spacing of the cultivation units can be flexibly adjusted to 45, 50, 70, 75 or 80 cm, which allows it to be used for strip preparation for all commonly grown row crops.

The machine excels in precise row cultivation and thorough cleaning of plant residues, creating optimal conditions for subsequent seeding.

Deep strip tillage with TERRASTRIP ZN

The design of the TERRASTRIP ZN is based on the proven design of TERRALAND TN subsoilers. Its highly robust frame is designed for demanding conditions and allows tillage to a depth of 55 centimetres, which ensures significant disruption of consolidated layers and creates an ideal environment for the root system of row crops.

The TERRASTRIP ZN offers a working width of 5.6 metres with a large row spacing of 70 or 75 cm, which is suitable for corn and sunflower.
