The OMEGA OO_L versatile air drill can be also used for direct drilling without any prior tillage. The effective combination of the front levelling bar, the tire packer and the PROFI coulter section creates and even seedbed. Quality surface levelling, perfect clod crumbling, precise seed placement and reverse consolidation in one pass!

OMEGA OO_L is a suitable air drill for establishing crops in no-till farming systems. The disc gang equipped with specially shaped aggressive disc blades provides a perfect cutting and mixing effect; the specially shaped blades also improve soil penetration. The OMEGA OO_L air drill can be thus easily used for establishing cover crops in a stubble field after the early crop, or seeding winter crops without any prior tillage.

New agronomic trends demand new crop establishment methods. The OMEGA OO_L air drill can be used for crops establishment, such as winter crops, in the cover crop stands. The front tire packer rolls over the cover crop, the disc and coulter gangs cut it, and the seeds are placed at the required depth thanks to the high down pressure on the drill openers.

The high versatility of the OMEGA OO_L air drill makes it possible to use the drill for grass over-seeding during the year. We recommend performing this operation without using the front disc gang, but using the TURBO coulters behind the disc gang that creates a groove in the line of the disc drill opener and facilitates its penetration into soil. The grass vegetation remains undisturbed.

Front Crushbar (levelling bar) + tire packer
A unique coulter section

No other air drill on the market offers the option to combine the front Crushbar levelling bar with the tire packer. Perfect soil levelling before the drill openers is an important part of seeding. The Crushbar breaks the rough furrow and levels off any unevenness, the tire packer evenly consolidates the soil along the entire width of the drill, and contributes to maintaining its stability at high working speed.

The working section behind the disc gang is definitely what makes BEDNAR air drill distinct. It can be equipped with the popular PROFI coulters for better seedbed preparation, or TURBO coulters for creating a groove for drill openers in the case of no-till drilling.

It is possible to install the Crushbar levelling bar in front of the disc gang, or to combine the Crushbar with the front tire packer Frontpack. The working angle of the levelling bar is controlled hydraulically from the tractor cabin.

There are two ways to set the working depth of the disc blade gang. It can be set hydraulically from the tractor cabin, or mechanically.

The air drill can be equipped with a whole range of optional equipment behind the disc blade gang. The gang is set hydraulically from the comfort of the tractor cabin.

The drill opener pressure can be set at up to 286 lbs according to the conditions. The pressure is set hydraulically or mechanically.

The double-disc drill opener can place seeds or fertilizer at a depth of up to 3.2″. The working depth can be regulated hydraulically or mechanically.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC BLADE GANG

Perfectly precise air drill guidance in the right track.

The OMEGA OO_L air drills have disc blade gangs arranged in the shape of X. This innovative technical design eliminates drifting of the drill to the side. That offers a precise following of tractor tracks.

OFFSET ARRANGEMENT OF PACKER WHEELS

For low rolling resistance and improved clearance in muddy conditions.

The large and wide wheels mounted in an offset system under the tank perfectly consolidate and level the soil. The offset arrangement of the packer wheels increases soil and crop residue throughput, which reduces rolling resistance and thus the towing power demand. The wheels can be easily replaced in the case of a puncture! The wheels are mounted independently and the air drill turns at headland using the packer, except for the two central wheels, which prevents the undesirable formation of tracks.

MAINTENANCE-FREE PARALLEL LINKAGE GUIDED DOUBLE DISC OPENER

For even placement of seeds at a constant depth level.

The double-disc drill openers are attached to the seed bar frame with a parallel linkage. That allows the individual drill openers to perfectly contour the terrain and place seeds evenly at a constant depth level along the entire working width, resulting in an even stand.

TWO ROW SPACING OPTIONS

5" or 6.5"

The OMEGA OO_L air drill can be equipped, while in production, with drill openers with an row spacing of 5″ suitable for cropping systems with a high ratio of cereals in the crop rotation. The row spacing of 6.5″ is suitable for seeding with large quantities of crop residue on the surface.

EXCELLENT SEED PLACEMENT

Precisely designed drill opener.

The double-disc drill opener with an offset disc cuts crop residues and creates a clean and perfect seedbed for even seed placement. There is either a standard, or carbide scraper between the two discs of opener. The seeds are then covered with fine soil and pressed down into the soil by the packer wheel. The packer wheel is available in two sizes: 13″×2″ and 13″×2.5″.

DEACTIVATING A HALF OF THE WORKING WIDTH

Save up to 6% of the cost of seeds.

The OMEGA OO_L air drill is equipped with two distribution towers, which makes it possible to deactivate a half of the working width of the drill – mechanically, or electronically from the comfort of the tractor cabin. It prevents undesirable excessive seeding.

BLOCKAGE SENSORS

Keep track of the throughput of each drill opener.

The air drill can be equipped with blockage sensors on request. The device ensures that if a drill opener gets clogged, the information is displayed on the screen. That guarantees maximum seeding precision.

EFFICIENT AND PRECISE

Metering unit of the OMEGA air drill.

The metering unit is made of stainless steel and driven by an electric motor. It is equipped with a radar sensor connected to the ISOBUS communication channel. The metering unit provides high precision seeds batching from 0,5 to 312 lbs per acre.

SAFE ACCESS TO TANKS

For comfortable filling.

The fast and comfortable filling of the OMEGA air drill tank is ensured by an easily accessible platform and steps. To fill the tank, the steel lid swings by 90°. The tank filling level is indicated by two sensors. One is installed higher and its angle is adjustable, the other one is installed in the lower third of the tank.

EASY CALIBRATION

Comfortable and safe calibration at the rear of the drill.

We have developed the OMEGA air drill also with an easy and comfortable operation in mind. The seed calibration at the rear of the air drill is also easy – a calibration bag is simply placed below the pipe. You do not need to climb the disc gang and perform complicated calibration under the tank. The outlet also makes it easy to empty the tank contents.

INTUITIVE AND WELL-ARRANGED CONTROL

An air drill fully compatible with ISOBUS.

Emphasis was placed on easy control when developing the OMEGA air drill. The air drill can be connected to the tractor via the ISOBUS technology, or it can be controlled using a BEDNAR ISOBUS display. A series of control displays with basic or advanced control functions are available.

COMFORTABLE CALIBRATION

DOUBLE EDGE DRILL OPENERS

The implement moves away from the ideal line and wobbles when seeding. That creates increased gaps, or so-called “eyes” between the individual rides in the field (with standard arrangement of the drill openers). All those deficiencies are eliminated with our innovative design – the double edge drill openers. When there is a deviation from the ideal line, the growth is only thinned locally without any significant gaps, or eyes“.

PRESSURISED TANK MODEL

OMEGA OO_L air drills are equipped with pressurised tank for seeding precision and crop establishment with higher seeding amounts. The pressurised tanks for OMEGA OO_L air drills are available with a capacity of 80 – 112 bu.

DRILL OPENER PSP SYSTEM

The double-disc drill openers are attached to the seed bar frame with a parallel linkage. The design provides perfect terrain contouring and even seed placement at the same depth along the entire width of the machine.

X-PRECISE SYSTEM OF THE DISC GANG

The unique technical design ensures precise implement guidance in the track. Thanks to that, the entire width of the high speed disc is used because there is no drifting of the tool.

TWIN-DISC MOUNTING SYSTEM

One arm for two disc blades provides a high material throughput, even in difficult conditions. Crop residue can easily flow through the implement (large quantities of straw, crop residue after grain corn, organic matter, such as cover crop).

HYDRAULIC DRAWBAR

The hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar provides excellent terrain contouring. It removes tension affecting the implement drawbar and absorbs shocks, even at high working speed.

Crushbar levelling bar

The hydraulically controlled levelling bar is suitable for levelling unevenness and surface after the disc gang.

TURBO coulters

TURBO coulters are discs with a sharp cutting edge. The coulters work in the same line as the rear drill openers. They cut the trash and soil, where the drill opener places the seeds.

PROFI coulters

The specially shaped PROFI coulters offer an excellent crumbling effect and finalise the work of the disc gang. Especially suitable for heavy soils.

Front equipment

Crushbar Leveller + Tire Packer Frontpack

An efficient combination of two working tools on one implement. The leveller is used for levelling coarse unevenness. The tire packer creates a perfectly levelled surface and stabilizes the implement at work.

Tire packer Frontpack

Frontpack, a tire front packer, perfectly levels soil, including the rough furrow. Moreover, it keeps the machine on a level. Frontpack consists of tires with a diameter of 28″.

Crushbar leveller

The hydraulically controlled Crushbar levelling bar is especially suitable for initial surface levelling and for breaking the rough furrow in front of the disc gang. The individual levelling paddles are reinforced. It is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.

Disc gang

Aggressive disc blades

The specially shaped disc blades offer a higher cutting and mixing effect. They also penetrate soil better in the dry season. The aggressive blades have a lot of cutting edges along the circumference for easy incorporation of a large quantity of crop residue. The sharp blades efficiently cut crop residue. Moreover, the profiled shape allows mixing residue with soil better. Available with a diameter of 18″ × 0.2″.

OMEGA OO_L versatile air drills are usually equipped with disc blades with a diameter of 18″ x 0.2″.

Drill openers

Drill openers with an row distance of 6.5″.

The row spacing of 6.5″ provides better material throughput. It is suitable for technologies with larger quantities of crop residue on the surface.

Drill openers with an row spacing of 5″.

The row spacing of 5″ offers plants better competitiveness against weeds and improves the engagement of the crop.

Other

ALFA DRILL Seeder

The ALFA DRILL seeder allows seeding a third type of seeds or applying fertilizer when both tanks are used for seeds. It is also possible to apply micro-granulate for precise nutrient application directly with the seeds. Its use increases the certainty of crop emergence.
