MULCHER MZ

MULCHER MZ three-rotor, heavy duty rotary cutters with a working width of 14′ 9″ – 19′ are very popular cutters that combine high daily outputs with low power demand. The robust frame with hot-dipped galvanised frames predetermines the implement to work in the hardest conditions of agriculture over the long term.

A rotary cutter with a working width of 14′ 9″ – 19′ designed for quality cutting of crop residue, unwanted tree seedlings and grasses, with a high daily output.
Cutting vegetation contributes to a balanced growth of above ground matter, processing ungrazed grass (bad quality fodder not grazed by the cattle), it promotes grass offsetting, and also prevents the development of weeds.
In this case, the rotary cutters crushes, shortens and evenly distributes the mulched material, which is then better incorporated into the soil and also decomposed faster. Cutting is also important for mechanical prevention of diseases and elimination of pests, such as the European corn borer.
Weeds and dispersed tree seeds do well in maintained land. To reduce their occurrence, the land needs to be cutted well to prevent seeding and other unwanted spread.
The MULCHER MZ heavy duty rotary cutters are highly durable and designed for hard work. Hot-dipped galvanisation of the implement provides high resistance to vegetation sap, collision with rocks, or weather conditions.

Quality cutting requires a large rotor diameter and high circumferential speeds. The MULCHER MZ rotary cutter is equipped with two pairs of shaped blades on the rotor to ensure excellent quality of work. The blades can be used both for cutting grasses and processing crop residue.

MULCHER MZ can be equipped with cover plates of the main frames. The plates are smooth and minimise the sticking of plant residue on the implement.

When compared with the standard model, MULCHER MZ can be equipped with a walking version of the central axle. The implement is then able to better contour any terrain unevenness and maintain the set cutting width. You can achieve an even better effect in combination with the tandem version of the side axles.

The transmission part of the MULCHER MZ rotary cutter is protected against damage (for example, in the case of a collision with a rock, etc.) with a friction clutch that automatically stops all the transmission processes. The p.t.o. shaft connecting the tractor with the gearbox is equipped with a friction clutch.

When manufacturing BEDNAR rotary cutters, we use high-quality p.t.o. shafts by Walterscheid.

Fixed blades that provide the final cutting of the cutted material are installed in the front part of the cutting area to increase the crushing effect. That easily increases the quality of material cutting.
The spreading deflectors ensure that the rotary cutter works perfectly as they evenly spread the cutted material. They prevent the formation of plant clumps and larger amounts of matter in one place.
The MULCHER MZ rotary cutter is equipped with replaceable armoured plates that protect the implement frame from damages. Moreover, each rotor is protected with its own cover, which enables to work in an extremely low position above the ground.
The main component is the fan that creates a stream of air and the wind straighteners direct air to the risk areas on the implement surface. The equipment prevents dirt and plant matter from sticking on the cutter surface. It improves work safety and reduces time spent with cleaning.

The rotary cutter is easily connected to the bottom or top tractor hitch. It can also be connected using the K80 ball pin.
Two pairs of bent blades provide an excellent cutting and crushing effect. There are two blade models available – grass and corn.
The central walking axle provides excellent terrain contouring, and even better contouring when compared with the standard model.
Smooth plates minimize the accumulation of plant residues on the rotary mower and facilitate cleaning.
The skid plates and shoes maintain the set cutting height.
They provide an outstanding resistance to aggressive vegetable saps or mechanical damage (e.g., collision with a rock).
It prevents dirt and plant matter from sticking on the implement surface and increases work safety.
“We decided to purchase the cutter after we saw a demonstration in a grain corn stubble field and meadow grass. We tried competitive cutters in the same conditions, but the quality of work did not meet our demands. Therefore, the MULCHER MZ 6000 was the obvious choice; it worked perfectly in the stubble field as well as in the meadows. Another decisive factor was that the rotary cutter, with a working width of 19 ft does not need such a towing power as the competitive implements.”

We know that everyone has different requirements for the optional implement equipment and its expected use. Therefore, you can specify your MULCHER MZ trailed rotary cutter to precisely match your needs.
CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
Processing crop residue after harvest is important for several reasons. Crop residue is a source of organic matter therefore it is not desirable to simply leave it in the field without attention. Crop residue may be unevenly spread which aggravates tillage and the clumps facilitate the spread of diseases and breeding of pests.
