Efficient soil strip-till cultivation with the STRIP-MASTER EN 6000 at Agrodružstvo Morkovice

With a long tradition in livestock and crop production, it specialises in growing a broad range of crops including winter wheat, spring barley, sugar beet, poppy seed, rapeseed, corn, thistle, peas and alfalfa. Together, they have 900 dairy cows on two farms and employ around 100 workers.

For three years now, Agrodružstvo Morkovice has been using the STRIP-MASTER EN 6000 strip-till cultivator, which has become an essential part of their mechanization. This machine has proven itself particularly useful for preparing the soil for corn after rye on heavier and sloping soils. “The machine is essential for us because of the erosion problems we have on sloping land,” explains Jiří Svoboda (Head of Plant Production).

Last year, the company decided to test the STRIP-MASTER EN 6000 in rapeseed, using the ALFA DRILL 400 hopper in combination with seed coulters as part of the testing of new options that BEDNAR FMT is currently working on. The results exceeded expectations. “We liked the crop from the beginning – strip-till cultivation and seeding produced good results. We wanted to check whether strip-till cultivation would have a negative impact on yield, and we found that it would not. Yields have remained stable,” says Svoboda.

One of the key aspects of the STRIP-MASTER EN 6000 machine is its durability and reliability. The machine is equipped with LONG LIFE points that have so far work on 400 hectares – far more than competing points. “The field was always prepared just as we imagined. Moreover, adjustment of the machine is simple and efficient,” says Svoboda.

References from other agricultural companies and support from the distributor also played a key role in the selection of the machine.

The demonstration and subsequent handover of the machine was professional. “We know that if we need anything, we can always rely on our distributor,” says Svoboda.
