The semi-mounted STRIEGEL-PRO PN straw harrow excels in a simple machine design with a five-row tine section, with individual tines measuring 16 × 700 mm. This arrangement provides a large overlap of the individual tines. The tine section can be easily adjusted from the tractor cabin using the hydraulic system.
The hydraulically controlled Crushbar levelling bar is especially suitable for spring soil cultivation, initial surface levelling, and rough furrow cultivation. The individual levelling boards are reinforced and 80 mm wide. The levelling bar is easily controlled using the hydraulic circuit from the comfort of the cabin.
The specially shaped TURBO coulter is made of a cutting disc with a sharp edge that easily penetrates soil. The coulter only brings a small amount of soil up. The sharp edge is suitable for reducing the stalk length of cereals, oilseed crop, or for aerating grassland.
The front, screw-shaped Trash Cutter cutting roller is equipped with sharp blades. The small roller diameter enables it to achieve a high circumferential speed. The roller provides an excellent cutting effect in processing the stalks of oilseed rape, sunflower, or catch crop. Thanks to that, the crop residues are better mixed with the soil, which accelerates its decomposition. The downforce of the roller is controlled hydraulically from the tractor cabin.
The STRIEGEL-PRO PN mounted straw harrow can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL seeder, as standard, for seeding catch crop, small-seed crop, or for placing micro-granulate in crop residue management, in one pass. The time and fuel savings are considerable. The seeder has a capacity of 400 litres.
The tines may get worn faster especially when working in stubble fields in the dry season, therefore, we recommend equipping the straw harrow with LONG LIFE tines that have carbide tips. The LONG LIFE tines have a longer service life. The quality of work does not change in relation to the wear when using the LONG LIFE tines.

The mounted straw harrow is easily connected using the tractor three-point hitch.
Cuts crop residues, namely the stalks of sunflower, corn or oilseed rape, and facilitates their incorporation and mixing with soil. The optimal size of crop residues accelerates decomposition.
The five-row tine section provides perfect overlapping of the individual tines for an intense working effect. Tines with a dimension of 16 × 700 mm.
The LONG-LIFE tines for the straw harrow are made of spring steel with a diameter of 16 mm, and their tips are fitted with carbide. The LONG-LIFE tines increase quality of work and provide an outstanding durability.

CROP RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
Processing crop residues after harvest is important for several reasons. Crop residues are a source of organic matter therefore it is not desirable to simply leave it in the field without attention. Crop residues may be unevenly spread which aggravates tillage or they help to spread pests and disease.
