ROW-MASTER RN_S

An row crop cultivator for sugar beet crop

THE WAY FOR HIGHER YIELDS AND A PROPER SOIL ENVIRONMENT

The ROW-MASTER RN_S cultivator is designed for weeding mid rows, removing the soil crust, eliminating the growth of weeds, and creating a proper soil climate in sugar beet crop. The cultivator can be easily adjusted for an row spacing of 17.7 – 19.7″ and equipped with various equipment to adjust to the specific crop condition. To reduce the risk of damaging the crop and to achieve high outputs, the cultivator can be equipped with the self-guiding CultiCam system.

Key properties

A row crop cultivator that eliminates the occurrence of weeds in sugar beet crop with an adjustable row spacing of 17.7 – 19.6″.

ROW-MASTER RN_S CULTIVATOR

Weeding = a path to higher yields.

Sugar beet needs an ideal soil environment to achieve adequate yield-generating elements. Weeding is one of the options how to achieve that. It makes air accessible to the roots, disrupts the soil crust, removes weed plants from mid rows, and increases the sugar content of tubers.

A REAL EXPERT

A modular system adjustable to specific conditions.

A great advantage of the ROW-MASTER RN_S cultivator is the high variability of the equipment. The different types of working tools make it possible to adjust the cultivator to the current growth stage of the crop so that loosening is performed as best as possible and without the risk of crop damage.

THREE TYPES OF WORKING TOOLS

To adjust to the growth stage and crop.

Early spring mid row cultivation can be done using 6″ sweeps with 100% overlapping. This operation removes the soil crust and weeds in rows. Sweeps bring weed roots to the surface where they quickly wilt.

For the second weeding, the cultivator can be equipped with a working section with three 6″ sweeps and two chisels with a width of 1.6″. The chisels do not damage the plant air roots and moreover, they create a groove in the soil profile that improves access of roots to water and air.

The final loosening can be done using the 2.4″ heaping shank with a mouldboard. The large chisel loosens soil and removes soil crust, even very hard.

ROW UNITS MOUNTED ON A PARALLEL LINKAGE

Precise guidance in any conditions.

The individual row units are mounted to the frame using a clamp. The parallel linkage contours the terrain and maintains the set working depth of the cultivation units in a precise way. The parallel linkage completely eliminates movements caused by unevenness.

RUBBER SILENT BLOCKS MOUNTING OF ROW UNITS

A unique way of increasing down pressure.

Each row unit is mounted on a parallel linkage, placed on rubber silet blocks. The down pressure of the row units is provided by the unique method of mounting in two pairs of silent blocks. The down pressure of up to 18 lbs per unit ensures that the set depth is maintained even in extremely hard and difficult conditions.

STABILISING GAUGE WHEELS

For guidance and maintaining the set working depth.

The ROW-MASTER RN_S cultivator is equipped with stabilising steel wheels of the side frames that keep the cultivator within the rows. Each row unit has its own gauge wheel that helps maintain the set working depth and contours the terrain.

CULTICAM - AUTOMATED GUIDANCE SYSTEM

Minimization of the risk of plant damage, higher output and precise loosening, even at the early growth stage.

CultiCam, a guiding camera, reads the row lines, transfers the information to the system that sends data to the control unit, which transmits signals to the electric valves that move the frames to the left, or right. The camera can guide row units from the very early stage of crop emergence and it considerably increases productivity and comfort of work.

LED WORK LIGHTING

Changes night into day.

The row crop cultivator can be equipped with a set of LED work lighting that ensures trouble-free visibility around the cultivator during long work shifts, to guarantee maximum daily output, even when working at night.

EASY SETTING

Row spacing and working depth.

The spacing between the individual row units can be easily changed by loosening the bolts that connect the main implement frame with the row units. The working depth of each unit is set easily using a manual screw mechanism (a crank). The working depth can be set from 0.5″ to 4″.

GRANULAR FERTILISER PLACEMENT

FERTI-BOX FB_F

The FERTI-BOX FB_F front mounted tank is designed for fertilizer placement in the soil profile and has a capacity of 54 – 62 bu. Fertiliser is pneumatically distributed from the front tank to the distribution tower mounted on the row crop cultivator.

Three-point hitch

Easy connection to the three-point hitch of the tractor. Category II/III hitch

Gauge wheels

Maintain the set working depth and perfectly contour the terrain.

Hydraulic control

The system automatically moves the cultivator to the side based on data received from the CultiCam guidance system.

Frame

An extremely robust frame with clearance of 32″ for weeding corn or sunflower crops.

RUBBER SILENT BLOCKS mounting of row units

The innovative design increases down pressure and enables easy penetration of the row unit in the soil.

Parallel linkage mounting of row units

The individual row units are mounted on a parallel linkage. The system provides perfect terrain contouring and maintains the set working depth.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

CULTICAM - AUTOMATED GUIDANCE

The system automatically guides the row crop cultivator by reading the rows. The system then communicates with the hydraulic control (movement) that guides the cultivator working units in the mid rows.

PARALLEL LINKAGE MOUNTING OF ROW UNITS

The individual row units are mounted to the frame of the row crop cultivator using a clamp. The design provides excellent terrain contouring and maintains the set working depth of the row units.

WHAT DO THE FARMERS HAVE TO SAY?

“I am very pleased with the row cultivator. This year, we planted sugar beet on an area of 320 acres. I can process about 75 acres during a ten-hour shift. The working speed is around 4 mph (6.5 km/h); the cultivator could work faster but it’s quality that matters, we do not want the sugar beet covered by soil. It all depends on the conditions and the size of sugar beet. Operation is easy. It is a smart machine – it notifies you when there is a problem. Working with the camera for automatic guidance is perfect. I also appreciate the easy maintenance and implement design with maintenance-free systems, as well as the simple working depth setting without the need to use a special tool. It takes me about ten minutes to pre-set the depth.”

Accessories

We know that everyone has different requirements for the optional cultivator equipment and its expected use. Therefore, you can specify your own ROW-MASTER RN inter-row cultivator to precisely match your needs.

Optional equipment for plant protection

Protective discs

The specially shaped protective discs of the working units define the cultivation width – they protect leaves and roots. The discs also prevent covering crop rows with soil and weed seeds.

Protective shields

The shields define the cultivation width and protect leaves and roots. They prevent covering crop rows with soil and weed seeds.

Other

Automated guidance

CultiCam reads two or three rows (according to the crop) and assesses the vegetation, then transmits the information to the electronic system, which communicates with the hydraulic control of the cultivator. The control guides the cultivator so that the row units work in the mid rows, right next to the plants.

AGRONOMICAL GUIDE

ROW CROP CULTIVATION
Weeding improves the physical properties of soil nutrient intake by plants, and the condition of vegetation. Row crop cultivation has a weeding effect, which reduces the consumption of herbicides. Row crop cultivation also has a soil-protecting effect. The loosened soil layer in the mid row prevents fast drainage of surface water, and reduces the risk of water and air erosion. Liquid or solid fertilizers can be applied whilst weeding, thus improving the overall condition of the crop.
