The MATADOR MO air drill is designed for the strip seeding technology. The strip tillage with concurrent seeding brings a brand-new view of crop organisation in the fields. The layout of the shanks is based on the new agronomic and legislative trends in withdrawal of herbicides at the expense of mechanical crop treatment.

An air drill for strip tillage and seeding responding to the new agronomic trends in crop establishment.
MATADOR MO is a perfect combination of a air drill that manages deep tillage and seeding in one pass. The advantage of this procedure lies in loosening soil in the strips of future crop roots and precise fertilizer placement. The strip-till technology offers interesting agronomic benefits in the form of moisture preservation, anti-erosion protection or reduction in the number of passes across the field.
The MATADOR MO is equipped with ACTIVE-MIX shanks for active loosening up to a maximum depth of 14″ with the option of fertilizer placement in the soil profile or on the soil surface. The shanks are equipped with a robust auto-reset hydraulic protection with a maximum release force of 1,918 lbs (maximum lift height of 12″). The shanks can be equipped with 1.6″ or 3.2″ chisels in LONG LIFE version.
The disc gang works behind the shanks and it is hydraulically adjustable. The disc gang can be set to level soil in front of the off-set tyre packer (suitable for most types of cereals) or to create ridges (suitable for canola).
The MATADOR MO air drill is equipped with a two tanks with a total capacity of 140 bu (40:60 ratio). The MATADOR MO tanks are pressurised. Overpressure is created in the tanks thanks to the airtight closure. This technical design allows for dosing large batches with high precision independent of the size of the seeds/fertilizer.
Behind the disc gang is a tire packer with large diameter wheels (280/85 R20). The tire packer is arranged in two ranks (offset arrangement) with each wheel mounted independently. The independent mounting of the wheels means easy replacement in the event of a puncture. The two-rank arrangement reduces the tractor’s power demand, the packer has an excellent self-cleaning effect and air drill is highly stable.
CORSA CN is a versatile seed bar of 14′ 9″ and 19′ 8″ working width that is connected to the MATADOR MO air drill thanks to its 3-point hitch. The standard equipment of the seed bar includes double-disc drill openers mount on individual PSP system (parallel linkage) ensuring quality and even crop establishment.
The Crushbar levelling bar is used for initial levelling of the plough furrow and terrain unevenness. The working angle of the levelling bar can be modified hydraulically during the work from the tractor cab.
The Frontpack with a diameter of 15.5″ ensures even soil profile levelling and back soil consolidation in front of the drill coulters.
TURBO coulters are sharp blades with a diameter of 16″. The TURBO coulter cuts crop trash and soil. TURBO coulters work in the same line as the rear drill openers. The coulter spacing is 5″ or 6.5″. The TURBO coulter pressure can be modified hydraulically during the work from the tractor cab.
PROFI coulters are wavy blades with a diameter of 16″, offering an excellent crumbling effect. They are suitable for quality tillage of heavy soils. The PROFI coulter pressure can be modified hydraulically during the work from the tractor cab.
Suitable row-spacing distance for establishing cereal crops with a profile soil fertilisation of all the surface.
Suitable row-spacing distance for establishing cereal crops with a profile soil fertilisation of all the surface. The seeding bar is equipped with double edge drill coulters. The seed flow splits into two parts with the double edge drill coulters, which prevents creating empty spots between follow-up passes.
Suitable row-spacing distance for establishing cereal crops with a profile soil fertilisation of all the surface. This organisation enables mechanical weeding between the rows.
Suitable row-spacing distance for establishing winter rapeseed crops in double rows with an row-spacing distance of 4.9 inches. The double rows get fertilisation from the fertilised strips with a distance of 14.8 inches. This organisation enables mechanical weeding between the rows.
Emphasis was placed on easy control when developing the MATADOR MO air drill. The air drill can be connected to the tractor via the ISOBUS technology, or it can be controlled using a BEDNAR ISOBUS display. A series of control displays with basic or advanced control functions are available.
BEDNAR developers designed an application for cell phones that provides easy and simple calibration of the air drill from your cell phone. The mobile application includes a guide that helps with the right selection of the seeding roller based on the type of seeds/fertilizer, working speed and seeding amount.
Besides the standard seed bar in the rear three-point hitch, the MATADOR MO air drill can also be connected with a precision planter for planting corn, sunflower or sugar beet. The distance of 14.8″ cm with an option to deactivate every other shank enables crop organisation with an row spacing of 29.5″. In one pass, you will loosen, fertilize your soil and establish the crop. The technology brings considerable savings in time and financial costs.
The MATADOR MO air drill can be equipped with the BEDNAR ALFA DRILL cover crop seeder while in production, for even higher drill versatility and crop establishment options. The seeder can be used for seeding a third type of seeds or applying micro-granulate. The seeder hast pressurised tank as well and has a capacity of 11 bu. The control of the seeder is integrated into the control interface of the MATADOR MO.

Contributes to excellent terrain contouring and easy connection to various types of tractor hitches.
A two pressurized tanks with the total capacity of 140 bu. The pressurised tanks offer high dosing precision.
The ALFA DRILL cover crop seeder allows seeding another type of seeds or applying micro-granulate onto the soil surface using spreading discs.
The three-point hitch, category III is used for connecting the air drill to the CORSA CN seed bar or precision planter.
It may be equipped with drill openers with an row spacing of 5″ / 6.5″ or 9.8″. Double edge drill openers are also available.
The large diameter of the individual tires and the offset layout offer excellent self-cleaning effect. The packer consolidates soil after work.
The shank section is equipped with robust hydraulic RESET shank protection. The section is fitted with Active-Mix shanks with 1.6″ or 3.2″ points.
The disc gang is hydraulically adjustable. It is used for reverse soil levelling or creating ridges in front of the tire packer.
Comfortable calibration of the metering unit and easy emptying of seeds/fertilizers from the tank.
The dual gauge wheels with mechanical setting stabilise the air drill. The air drill works in the plane.
STRIP-TILL SEEDING WITH FERTILIZER PLACEMENT
The strip tillage with simultaneous fertilizer application and seed placement in tilled strips offers many agronomic benefits, including erosion control, reduced field traffic, and water conservation. The shank section ensures the removal of compacted soil layers and quality tilling of strips with the possibility of simultaneous fertilizer application. Subsequently, the seeds are placed in the tilled strips, providing plants with sufficient nutrients and promoting the development of a healthy root system.
