Bednar FMT Announces Appointment of New Managing Director for Canada

Prague, CZ – November 4, 2019 – Bednar FMT is pleased to announce that Paul Latam has joined the company as Managing Director for Canada.

Prague, CZ – November 4, 2019 – Bednar FMT is pleased to announce that Paul Latam has joined the company as Managing Director for Canada. By adding this position in Canada, Bednar FMT acknowledges the importance of the Canadian market as they continue to grow their export sales world wide. Bednar FMT is a progressive manufacturer of agricultural machinery with specialization on production of machines for tillage, seeding, fertilising and slashing. With such a large agricultural base across the country, Paul will continue the initial efforts that Bednar has built upon since the first machine entered the Canadian market in 2016. “We recognize the need for innovative farming approaches to help farmers achieve higher yields and shorten their working windows,” Jan Bednar, Business Director for Bednar FMT says. He continues, “Paul will be tasked with bringing new dealers on board, training existing dealers, and ensuring a direct line of communication to the factory.” With the addition of Paul to the team, Bednar strengthens their position to become a major competitor in the Canadian agricultural equipment market.

Paul brings with him over 7 years of agricultural distribution experience to the company and looks forward to the challenge of building a dealer network from the ground up. “Bednar is an innovative machinery manufacturer that has shown me they are willing to adapt their machines to the needs of the Canadian market” Paul says. “I look forward to meeting dealers that are progressive, looking for new equipment to offer their customers, and looking for a manufacturer they can trust and work with to grow their business”. Paul previously held the position of Territory Sales Manager with Poettinger Canada, covering Ontario out to British Columbia and has built a deep understanding of farming in Canada, the challenges it presents, and the opportunities for the machines Bednar produces. Prior to that, Paul covered Ontario and the Maritimes with a short-line distributor in Ontario.
