VERSATILE MOUNTED TINE SEED BAR

GIRONA GN is a versatile mounted tine seed bar. It is used for seeding crops in conditions with a large amount of crop residues, on lighter soil types or in conditions with stones or high levels of moisture. The tine seed bar is suitable for connection to the MATADOR MO strip-till seed drill. It can also be used in combination with the mounted hoppers SEED BOX SB / FERTI-BOX FB_F or the trailed hoppers FERTI-CART FC and COMBO SYSTEM CS.

TINE SEED BAR

The base of the GIRONA GN is the seeding coulter fitted with a point. Compared to the disc seeding coulter, the tine seeding coulter offers better penetration in conditions with more crop residues (crop residues are removed from the row). The coulter also works better in stony soils, as it has a minimum of moving parts that can be damaged. The seeding coulter is equipped with a 20 x 200 mm point in the LONG-LIFE design, which guarantees maximum durability and a long service life.

VERSATILE FRAME

Option of changing the mounting beams of the disc and tine seed bar.

The GIRONA GN tine seed bar is built on the same support frame used by the CORSA CN seed bar. If necessary, or depending on different soil conditions, only the beams with the seeding coulters can be changed on the seed drill support frame. This offers the option of exchanging the disc and tine coulters throughout the season based on the soil types and weather conditions.

PARALLEL LINKAGE OF THE SEEDING COULTERS

Proven solutions for seed bars and seed drills.

Based on the experience of our customers, we have also relied on the proven technical solution of the parallel linkage for the tine seeding coulter. The parallel linkage guarantees uniform seed placement at the desired working depth throughout the entire working width of the seed drill. This proven technical solution is particularly suitable for establishing crops in heavy and stony soils.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL

Front equipment, downforce and seeding depth adjustment.

If the GIRONA GN is equipped with optional front equipment, the working angle of the CRUSHBAR levelling bar or the seeding coulter downforce is adjusted hydraulically from the tractor cab. As an option, the seeding coulter downforce and the desired working depth can be adjusted hydraulically. The position of the hydraulic cylinders has to be protected by integrated spacers.

The CRUSHBAR levelling bar is used for the initial levelling of any rough furrows and uneven terrain. The angle of the levelling bar can be changed hydraulically during work from the tractor cab.

The FRONTPACK 390 mm tyre packer ensures an even soil profile and soil consolidation in front of the drilling coulters.

TURBO coulters are sharp wavy coulters with a diameter of 400 mm. The function of TURBO coulters is to cut the crop residues and the soil. The downforce of the TURBO coulters can be changed hydraulically during work from the tractor cab and the “wave” within the coulter profile ensures that the coulter continues to revolve even in wet conditions.

PROFI coulters are specially shaped coulters with a diameter of 400 mm. They offer an excellent crumbling effect. They are suitable for quality cultivation of heavy soils. The downforce of the PROFI coulters can be changed hydraulically during work from the tractor cab.

SUPPORT WHEELS OF THE SEED BAR

Maximum stability of the side frames.

GIRONA GN also offers the option of fitting support wheels to the side frames. The support wheels are used to guide the machine smoothly through the terrain, stabilising the side frames and retaining the set working depth of the machine.

ERADICATORS FOR TRACTOR WHEEL TRACKS AND SUPPORT WHEELS

No more visible tracks.

The GIRONA GN seed bar can optionally be equipped with tractor track eradicators. This equipment guarantees loosening of the compacted tracks. The GIRONA GN also has optional eradicators for the support wheels. Both versions of the eradicators are available with tines or shares.

The MATADOR MO is a seed drill designed for strip tillage in combination with strip drilling/planting in one pass. The GIRONA GN seed bar can be hitched using the rear three-point seed drill linkage.

SEED BOX SB is a single chamber front hopper with a capacity of 1 600 l. The seed is distributed pneumatically from the front hopper to the distribution head located on the seed bar.

The FERTI-BOX FB_F is a front hopper with a chamber volume of 1 900 l (single chamber FERTI-BOX FB_F) or 2 200 l (double chamber FERTI-BOX FB_F DUAL). The seed is distributed pneumatically from the front hopper to the distribution head located on the seed bar.

The FERTI-CART FC is a single-chamber trailed hopper with a capacity of 3,500 l. The seed bar is connected to a three-point hitch.

The COMBO SYSTEM CS is a trailed two-chamber hopper with a total volume of 5,000 l. The seed bar is connected to a three-point hitch on the hopper. The two-chamber design of the hopper allows two types of seed to be drilled at the same time in one pass or placed together with fertiliser.

It ensures a smooth flow of seed or seed and fertiliser to the individual tine seeding coulters.

BOUT MARKERS

It is used to mark the next run. Suitable equipment for the seed bar if the tractor does not have GPS navigation.
