NEWS IN THE FIELD OF BEDNAR SEED DRILLS AND HOPPERS

The seed drill portfolio has long been one of BEDNAR’s key segments. In addition to the existing products for conventional, direct or strip seeding, the company is expanding its portfolio with a new seeding combination. The CORSA CN seeding bar offers new equipment options and the hoppers and air-carts have also been innovated.

KATARA KN_S – precise seedbed preparation and sowing in a single pass

The popularity of traditional seed drill combinations in global markets such as Italy, France, Poland and England has led BEDNAR to develop its own new machine. The KATARA KN_S model series, which will be gradually expanded to include additional working widths, currently offers the KN 6000 S model, a machine with a working width of 6 m.

KATARA KN_S is a combination of two machines – KATOR KN power harrows and a seeding bar specially developed for this type of machine. The KATOR KN power harrows are the basis for this, offering proven technical advantages – a reinforced machine frame, a small distance between the rotors and three bearings per rotor.

Seeding bar designed in detail

A seeding bar with a central distribution head is suspended on the frame of the power harrows. As part of the seeding bar, it does not need to be dismantled afterwards when disconnected. KATARA KN_S can also be equipped with a pair of distribution heads for switch-off half of the machine working width.

Based on parts used in OMEGA seed drills, the individual components of the seed coulter are highly robust. The inter-row distance of the seed coulters is 12.5 or 16.7 cm. As needed, the seed coulters can be taken out of operation immediately by lifting them by approx. 15 cm, and work proceeds only with the power harrows. Of course, the seeding bar can be easily disconnected with the aid of parking legs and quick-clamping stops. All cable harnesses, hydraulic hoses and pipes are disconnected or connected in one place.

CORSA CN 6000 – the next level of versatility

The CORSA CN 6000 is a versatile seeding bar with a working width of 6 m suitable for connection to a three-point tractor hitch in combination with a front hopper. Another option is connection to a trailed air-cart or direct combination with a MATADOR MO seed drill.

The seeding bar now offers the option of fitting with front working equipment. Several options are available – the CRUSHBAR hydraulic levelling board, a tyre packer or the popular PROFI/TURBO coulters.

Now with the option of switching off half of the machine working width

For even greater precision when sowing, the CORSA CN can be fitted with a pair of distribution heads that allow half of the working width to be switched off. For simultaneous application of fertiliser, seed or microgranulate, the CORSA CN can be equipped with application spreaders that distribute the given material on the soil surface between the seed coulters.

The track eradicators of the tractor/air-carts ensure precise track loosening and uniform seedbed preparation. However, the track eradicators can now also be fitted behind the support wheels of the side frames.

DIRECTO NO – now with a working width of 8 m

As part of the expansion of the DIRECTO NO model series, BEDNAR introduces a new no-till seed drill with a working width of 8 m. The DIRECTO NO 8000 offers the same equipment features as the smaller NO 6000 model. In particular, the machine can be equipped with hydraulically adjustable fertilisation discs. The seed drill can plant crops together with fertiliser or other type of seed, either in the full area or each second row. Depending on the selected variant, there is also the option to switch off half of the machine working width.

The BEDNAR product portfolio offers different variants of front or rear-mounted hoppers and air-carts suitable for different farm sizes and combinations with individual BEDNAR machines or machines from other manufacturers.

BEDNAR EASY CONTROL software

The main change in all FERTI-BOX FB_F, FB_F Dual, FB, FERTI-CART FC and COMBO SYSTEM CS machines is the integration of the BEDNAR EASY CONTROL software developed by the company’s own software engineers. The control software offers easy, clear and intuitive control. Connection to the tractor via ISOBUS technology or control via BEDNAR’s own ISOBUS monitor is standard.

Easy calibration using the FARM LINK mobile app

Calibration can be performed on all hoppers and air-carts using the FARM LINK mobile app. This includes easy and simple machine calibration from a mobile phone without having to enter the tractor cab during calibration. The mobile app also includes a guide to help you choose the right seeding roller based on seed/fertiliser type, working speed and application quantity.

FERTI-CART FC and FERTI-BOX FB_F with new equipment options

The FERTI-CART FC single-chamber, 3,500 litre trailed air-cart now offers the option of a 2×140 mm outlet type. It allows, for example, the switching off of half of the working width (suitable for connection with the CORSA CN seeding bar). As an option, the air-cart can be equipped with a 2×3 tractor track eradicator with double-sided chisels. For easy machine park, a hydraulic parking leg has been integrated into the base configuration.

The FERTI-BOX FB_F front-mounted hopper (1,900 l capacity) has been extended with a 2×140 mm discharge type for greater variability of use. Mainly to enhance operator safety, the hopper can be equipped with a camera system. Two cameras are located on the right and left side of the hopper (located under the transport lights). In this case, the cameras act as “eyes”, providing an excellent view to the sides and in front of the hopper, something all operators will certainly appreciate when driving out of, e.g. low-visibility roads.

It is also possible to fit a camera system in the dual-chamber model FERTI-BOX FB_F Dual, which provides a total tank capacity of 2,200 l.
