The wide EFECTA CE seed drill with a working width of 12 metres is the main novelty by BEDNAR for 2021. EFECTA CE expands the BEDNAR’s portfolio of wide machines, offering customers, who have large businesses, an integrated technological line that starts with crop residue management, through soil cultivation and preparation, and ends with the final seeding. All of that under one brand with a strong technological and technical support of the top BEDNAR sales network.

“The BEDNAR EFECTA CE 12000 seed drill is bringing new trends in the field of high daily output, up to 200 ha/day, with a low fuel consumption, high working speed and a small requirement for the pulling output of the tractor at a mere 300 HP,”  Ing. Jan Bednář, the Business Director of BEDNAR, describes the development of the EFECTA CE seed drill.

The EFECTA CE seed drill is built on a robust frame, onto which a double-chamber pressurised tank with a capacity of 6,000 litres is mounted. The pressurised version of the tank allows for excellent fertiliser distribution in a dose of up to 250 kg/ha and a seeding amount of up to 300 kg/ha even with higher doses.

The width of the seed drill is 12 metres. The drill coulter sections are mounted on the side frames using a parallelogram and each drill coulter uses its own parallelogram within the time-tested PSP system. The combination of such mounting provides unparalleled terrain tracing and maintaining a constant depth of seeding along the entire working width. BEDNAR seed drills offer their customers a selection of inter-row seeding spacing. In the case of the EFECTA CE seed drill, customers can choose between a row spacing of 12.5 or 16.7 centimetres.

EFECTA CE IS A SMART MACHINE THAT PROVIDES A LOT OF FUNCTIONS:

  • Variable Rate – a variable seed and fertiliser dosage according to the regulation map for all tanks

  • Section Control – support and automatic switching of the four individual sections

  • A simple seed calibration method – completed with the indication of the individual calibration phases using a colour illumination of the calibration button

  • Possibility to enter the seeding amount in kg/ha or units per m2

  • Simple emptying of the hoppers

  • Support of the seed flow sensors – immediate notification of an interruption in the seed delivery into one of the drill coulter

  • ISO BUS AUX – possibility to control the machine functions, e.g., using a joystick in the tractor (has to support AUX)

  • Seed library – allows saving the parameters of calibrated seeds for further use

CADDY CD is a versatile tool carrier with a maximum lifting capacity of 5,000 kg, which BEDNAR developed for aggregation with tractors without the three-point hitch, or without  sufficient lifting capacity. The carrier can also be aggregated with track-laying tractors that do not lose their output as the three-point hitch is not used.

The farmer will not buy a new tractor because of a mounted machine. Therefore, we are coming with a solution that fulfils such requirements. The CADDY CD machine is a simple tool carrier that is connected to the towing pin of the tractor and allows the tractor without  rear arms to work with almost any mounted machine by various manufacturers. The wide tires ensure a smooth course and high stability of the machine during transport. The machine is aggregated to the tractor using the towing pin. The advantage of the CADDY CD carrier is that it may also be aggregated with mounted machines from competitive manufacturers. Both with mounted and semi-mounted machines.

TERRALAND TN is a universal chisel plough designed for deep cultivation up to a maximum depth of 65 centimetres. The machine can get the required air and moisture to the roots, disrupt the hardened soil layers and do intense loosening in a single pass.

TERRASTRIP ZN is a type of a chisel plough designed for strip-till soil cultivation. The chisel plough is suitable for the preparation of land in strips before seeding wide-row plants, such as corn, soya or sunflower.

The TERRALAND TN chisel ploughs are strongly related to the BEDNAR brand. They excel in their simple and sturdy design. They are made of the high-strength Alform steel. The high frame clearance and optimal layout of tines contributes to the high throughput of the machine. The combination of those factors allows soil cultivation up to a depth of 65 centimetres, even in very difficult conditions.

“The TERRALAND chisel ploughs are very popular but lately we have seen that the active tines may be too aggressive in some soil conditions due to the drought. That is what many farmers tell us. They want to cultivate soil in depth, their experience is great, but in the summer, when it is dry, tillage has to be a bit more considerate. Therefore, we developed the new ZERO-MIX tines. The ZERO-MIX tine is designed to be used on the mounted TERRALAND TN chisel plough. The entire operation needs to be completed with hardening the soil using the heavy steel Cutpack, to maintain as much moisture as possible in the soil. The ZERO-MIX tines can be easily switched for the ACTIVE-MIX tines, even when the machine is running. The rear spiked rollers can also be easily replaced with the heavy Cutpack. The machine can be used with the ZERO-MIX tines and the Cutpack in summer and with the ACTIVE-MIX tines and spiked rollers in winter,” Ing. Jan Bednář, the Business Director of BEDNAR, describes the advantages of this version.

The 2021 innovation of the TN model series includes the option to equip the chisel plough with both the standard ACTIVE-MIX tines and the ZERO-MIX tines with a dimension of 60 mm. The tines have flat wings and tips. By this simple exchange of tines, we are able to turn the versatile chisel plough into a professional cultivator suitable for the removal of hardened layers of soil and aerating the soil profile without active mixing. The machine version with the ZERO-MIX tines should also be equipped with the heavy steel CUTPACK for the final consolidation of the soil surface.

The strip-till soil cultivation system has been used more and more in Europe lately. The strip-till technology has a favourable effect on reducing soil and air erosions and it also contributes to a greater biodiversity of soil. Primarily, this technology is used for soil cultivation before planting wide crops such as corn, rapeseed or soya. BEDNAR offers a solution for this technology in the form of the STRIP-MASTER EN machine.

“We are bringing a new design of the STRIP-MASTER EN machine for the 2021 season. This machine was introduced to the market two years ago and it used the working units by Yetter, an American manufacturer. It was a solution with mechanical share protection that did not allow to change the inter-row spacing. Strip-till technologies are gradually finding a wide range of application in the establishment of crops with various row widths, as well as in difficult work conditions where they help solve the risk of erosion in addition to many other advantages. Therefore we needed to rework the working cart as well as the frame of the machine. The new features include the hydraulic protection of the working part and the frame of the machine now allows changing the spacing for various versions of crop organisation. The modern, reworked machine for cultivation depths around 25 cm is joining such successful machines in our strip-till technology portfolio as TERRASTRIP ZN, which process soil up to a depth of 45 cm. The STRIP-MASTER EN machines can be equipped with a set for the application of industrial and liquid fertiliser, including the cutting head. They are modified to be aggregated to all types of fertiliser and liquid tanks and they allow for the application of fertilisers in the soil profile at two levels,” Ing. Jan Bednář, the Business Director of BEDNAR, says about the STRIP-MASTER EN innovations.

The fundamental innovation of the STRIP-MASTER EN machine for 2021 is the hydraulic protection of the loosening knives that are located on the individual cultivation units.

Another important improvement of the machine is the option to change the inter-row spacing between 45 and 75 cm, providing a higher throughput of plant material in narrower inter-row spacing thanks to the rearrangement of the cultivation units.
