The Newcomers for 2013
The newcomers were formally introduced by the company STROM-BEDNAR during the Dealers Days which took place from the 1st to the 2nd of October 2012 in Prague. The first new machine is a universal cultivator with an integrated axle called the FENIX FO. The second is a short compact disc harrow called the …
The Fenix compact universal
The FENIX FO is a 4 row versatile cultivator in which the tines have been shrewdly positioned in such a way that you can use them for anything from the shallow stubble cultivation to deep loosening (up to 35cm) depending on the type of blades selected. “Over the past few years we have witnessed far more changeable weather during the stubble cultivation and loosening season. Intense storms and torrential rain have more than hampered soil preparation. The machines have struggled to cope with the work due to blockage or improper compaction packers. Therefore, we have developed a machine that has the correct spacing between the blades allowing it work well in waterlogged soil without the need of rear packers. After solving the previous issue we shifted our focus to a more compact size. The result is the development of a machine with a length less than 8m. Due to its length, combined with the placement of the axle, the machine also has a very small turning radius at the headland. This is why we created the Fenix, “ says Jan Bednar.

SwifterDisc express in the field
SWIFTERDISC XO_F is a short compact disc cultivator for high working speeds, up to speed 20km/h. It can be used for the aggressive rapid stubble and seedbed preparation after ploughing, or loosening. “As we were designing this machine, we had 2 goals that we were aiming for – build a machine for high production speeds with maximum stability so that the high-speed wobble and the operator can maximize power. The second objective was to increase the quality of mixing of plant residue. We succeeded thanks to the A-Discs, “comments Jan Bednar on the machine. The SwifterDisc XO_F has its axle located in front of the rear packer, which greatly increases the overall stability of the machine. Thanks to the number of teeth around its edge, the A-discs cut large amounts of plant residue effectively and due to its shape the profile carries more dirt, hence increasing the mixing of plant residue with the soil.

The Cutterpack and Presspack packers add the finishing touch
These packers can be used on their own or in combination with some of our machines. Primarily they have been developed to maximize the quality of work done by the Terraland TO chisel plough in a single pass. The CUTTERPACK CT consists of 2 rows of cutter discs with a self-cleaning effect that is designed for cutting clods and leveling the surface after the previous field operation. The PRESSPACK PT has 2 rows forming a steel ring which is suitable for tillage on heavier soils and compacts to prevent the loss of moisture.

The ALFA seed unit during stubbling/loosening
The seed unit for sowing crops and grasses during stubbling or loosening. It is a cheap, quick biomass production solution, which merges the soil-processing operations into one pass. The application of this method to crops is one of the answers for enhancing the soils organic matter, improving soil properties and the prevention of soil erosion.
