Elbniederung Eutzsch e.G. opts for the Terraland TO
The Elbniederung Eutzsch e.G. farm is an agricultural cooperative spanning over an area of 2300 ha, of which 1,800 acres are being cultivated. The farm itself is situated near Lutherstadt Wittenberg and has a variety of soil types. Besides rape they grow wheat, barley, sugar beets and corn however, the soils are prone to compaction and that’s why the farmers have turned their attention to the acquisition of a large chisel plough.
Compaction should be eliminated
The farm’s primary objective was deep soil cultivation with a TERRALAND TO whilst getting rid of soil compaction. The secondary objective was to renew the soil structure making waterlogged fields a thing of the past.
Just 1pass excellent work
The John Deeere 9520 tractor (equipped with JD Autotrack) worked smoothly with the Terraland TO 6000 and was able to tow the machine without any problems . The soil was loosened to a depth of 40 cm and was ready for sowing. Thanks to the AutoTrack driver, the individual passes were easily followed preventing the soil from being worked twice. The Terraland TO 6000 reached its target with ease.
„The STROM Terraland TO 6000 is the machine for us“, says farm manager Andreas Hansen
„The Terraland TO opens many doors – deep loosening and immediate soil compaction with rear double spike rollers or deep loosening without the usage of double spike rollers (the machine works on axle located in the middle of the machine and on the front supporting wheels) gives the Terraland TO the versatility to apply it to all of our fields“, Andreas Hansen
