AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH: Advantages of Deep Soil Cultivation<\/h1>\n

In 2015-2016, the Australian Ministry of Agriculture and Food carried out research showing the opportunity to increase crops in the CTF system (Controlled Traffic Farming) in Western Australia. The system is based on cultivating soil in the tracks of agricultural vehicles. The research results are clear: It is possible to increase the crop within two years of using the deep soil cultivation method.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Result of the Two-year Research in Western Australia <\/strong><\/h2>\n

The research monitored CTF combined with deep loosening in 8 selected trial locations with 6 different types of subsoil<\/strong>. Specifically, it was a territory in Western Australia between the cities of Binnu and Ongerup. There are the following types of soil there: sandy, clay, red with soil leaching as well as capillary action, yellow with soil leaching and capillary action, limy and heavy.<\/p>\n

The subject of the research was to determine whether or not this method of cultivation is more productive than traditional systems, has a positive effect on the economic growth of businesses, and causes changes in organic substances in the soil profile. The results <\/strong>of the research were presented in Australia at the 2017 GRDS Update in Perth and at the Regional in\u00a0 Geraldton. <\/strong>Wayne Parker was the head of\u00a0 research.<\/p>\n
