It is common that we go and see our machines working especially in a traditional farming businesses. This time, we went to see a VERSATILL VO 6000 PROFI in REKULTIVACE a.s., a company in the group of SEV.EN ENERGY, which deals with clean up and reclamation of areas after lignite mining in the Most region.<\/h2>\n

Mining Landscape Reclamation or Farming<\/h2>\n


\nREKULTIVACE a.s., a company based in Most, purchased the machine in 2020. The company specializes in landscaping and reclaiming the functional capability of landscape after coal mining. In addition, they also operate in traditional farming, managing an area of about 634 hectares. Some land is \u201cstandard fields\u201d, other land includes mostly meadows in former quarry areas. Besides the standard plant production, the company also breeds cattle.

VERSATILE VO_PROFI Cultivator Met the Requirements<\/h2>\n


\nThe company took the opportunity to test the machine in their conditions before purchase. They liked its design and decided to buy it. \u201cIt is unbelievable what the machine can withstand and manage in our conditions. The land after mining is not a standard field, they are places where surface extraction took place. I especially appreciate the option of hydraulic settings from the cabin, which provides for a continuous ride and adjustments as needed,\u201d <\/em>says Ladislav Tak\u00e1cs, the machine operator.<\/p>\n

The company uses a VERSATILL VO 6000 Profi<\/a><\/span> with a working width of 6 metres. The machine is equipped with a hydraulically-controlled front leveller, with a working angle adjustable as needed while driving. The six rows of tines with a spacing of 17 cm provide excellent soil processing, mixing and crumbling along the entire width of the machine. The horizontal spring protection with a tension force of 250 kg is an advantage in such conditions. At the back, the machine is equipped with a double U-RING packer.

\nDuring the visit, we also talked about the LONG-LIFE chisels used on the tines. At first, the machine was delivered with standard 60mm chisels. Now, they are using the 40mm LONG-LIFE carbide chisels. \u201cThe chisels are definitely better quality, they last longer and are more suitable for our conditions. The smaller diameter makes it easier to penetrate soil and they pick up and mix soil better,\u201d <\/em>Mr. Michal Zelenka, the Purchasing Agent and Technician, describes the advantages of the LONG-LIFE chisels.
